The movie The Ghost and The Darkness is a true story. When John Patterson, played by Val Kilmer, comes to build a bridge in Africa. He has always wanted to go to Africa and knows a lot about it. He thinks it will be a wonderful and challenging job. He got the challenging part right because there are two man eating lions who are attacking the workers. Then Paterson askes for the hunter Charles Remington, played by Michal Douglas, to hunt down and kill the lions. While this is going on Samuel, played by John Kani, talks to the workers and tells them that the lions are under control. In the end the lions are killed and the bridge is built, just like Paterson said it would be
This movie had a good plot. It is a true story. In this movie you can really tell what life was like out in Africa at that time. The costumes were good and the lions were belivable.
