Personal Bio

I was born in Fayetteville, NC in the 1970's on 29 May (Gemini). My mom died at the age of 38 when I was 9 years of age. I raised myself--Dad was not home much because he was working. I had my first depressive episode when I was about 12. Dad remarried when I was 15 to a woman who was/is verbally and physically abusive. Drug use and another major depressive episodes while in high school. After graduating high school, attended one year at Central Carolina college in Sanford, NC. Then went back to Fayetteville and the family; began working full time at McDonald's. A very bad experience with a male acquantaince from high school set off another depressive episode. For the next three years, worked full time at McDonald's (2 years--Wal-Mart, 1 year) and going to school full time at Fayetteville State University. After three years of this routine, began to experience burnout (and a beginning of another depressive episode). Took a leave of absence from my job at Wal-Mart. After being involved in a car accident that should have been fatal, sunk into a deep depression and tried to commit suicide on more than one occasion. Went back to work. Quit after two days. Quit school. At 20 experienced first manic episode. Then a big fight with the stepmother, so packed bags and moved to Raleigh, NC. For the past two years, have been attending North Carolina State University majoring in psychology and sociology.
