"Why have you brought me
here?!" screams Leshrac, into the infinite darkness. He is not wholly alive any
longer, nor is he wholly dead. He is in a state of limbo in a place that only the demon
Xain could access. The demon torments Leshrac ceaselessly. Time has lost all meaning.
Leshrac sought to trick the demon into helping him without paying
the price. Xain interceded on his behalf but would not be slighted.
"Release me!!" yells Leshrac at the demon. "It is
not yet the time . . ." responds Xain. "How long have I been in this
place?" implores Leshrac. "It is not quite ready . . . soon . . . very soon . .
." "You will release me now or I shall bring you your death!" Leshrac
swears to the demons back as he turns to leave.
The demon turns back, red eyes burning bright. He lifts naught
but his finger at Leshrac. He feels his legs lock in place as the demon blasts him
backward to what would be the floor of that nothing place. He is paralyzed in place and
can only shake as the demon advances into his sight. Xain holds something in his hands,
that Leshrac can plainly see. Xain places his nails into the item and draws runes upon
Leshracs left arm and on his right hand. He recognizes them. They are the same runes
as on the sides of the dark sword. He tries to yell at the demon, but his voice will not
work. His efforts only increase the pain in his legs.
Xain finishes the runes and kicks Leshrac in the chest. The force
of the blow puts Leshrac directly underneath his own legs. "Now you can go
back." Xain says sarcastically to Leshrac. He falls into a heap on the floor, landing
on his head. "But I dont see why. Your people have already lost your war."
Laughs Xain as he disappears.
Leshrac is sitting alone in the nothing place trying to remove
the runes from his hands and his arm. He does not succeed in anything but making his arms
bleed. He sighs in frustration. He looks around again and notices the adamante sword
spinning in the air. "So this is the means of my release, ehe . . ." Leshrac
hesitates, then grabs the hilt of the sword, and is blinded by a flash of light.
Leshrac opens his eyes to the bright light, gets off of his
knees, and stands. His vision is returning. "How in the hells did this happen!"
Leshrac yells as he stares at the charred remains of his Clynian army. Sun bleached skulls
and rotting corpses are his only remnants of his once great Clynia. "Mordifin shall
pay for this . . . Oh yes he shall pay dearly . . . upon my soul I swear!"
Leshracs runic tattoos burn black as he raises his sword to the sky, but he is
oblivious to the pain.
