Tied to a tree
Struggling for life
Angry faces surrouding.
Men holding torches
Smells like gasoline.
closer and closer and closer
Need air, black smoke bilowing.
Flames getting closer
Screaming for life
tears streaking down
soot covered face.
"leave me be."
Throw the torches
Flames explode,
igniting hair,
engulfing cotton clothes.
No longer do tears
fall freely, all that is
heard is the soft crys
of agony escaping lips.
Look up, into the eyes
of madness. Never understood.
Not To Be Understood.
Smells of burning flesh.
Cries have since stopped.
Begin to walk away,
realise the hurt
that has been caused.
Mistake. Understanding
comes into their eyes.
'Never understood, please
forgive me?'
Body now slumped,
base of tree.
'Cover! Cover!'
Can't bear what
has been done.
Can not undo.
Pain in heart,
ignorance in head.
Let it be.
'Not To Be Understood.'
