The Gamma Kappa Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is located in Buffalo, New York. We are a citywide chapter comprised of six schools: State University of New York at Buffalo, Buffalo State College, Daemen College, Canisius College, Medaille College and D'Youville College.

Once
upon a time... in the land of Delta Sigma Theta, there were ten aspiring Goddesses. They wanted to become true Delta Goddesses, citizens of the land. So they sought a sincere Goddess, Woman Robinson, who with loving kindness offered her assistance.
Ahead of the aspiring Goddesses, was a difficult task. The heavenly National Council was changing officers, and the paperwork involved in initiating citizenship was slow in processing.
Fighting the evil auspices of time, the aspiring Goddesses began to meet regularly with Lady Robinson. It was meetings such as these which helped the aspiring Goddesses to develop strong feelings of sisterhood. Judging by their diverse personalities, they named each other: Genesis, Sparkle, Radiance, Star, Velvet, Satin, Magic, Princess, Queen B, and Nubia.
Finally after a long battle with time, heavenly approval cam through, and the aspiring Goddesses were allowed to begin Pyramid Processing. They were directly the responsibility of Gamma Kappa, a city in Delta Land. They had a late start, but they were fast learner. Unfortunately they were haunted with the knowledge that Gamma Kappa was chosen by the heavenly National Council to become alumnus. This meant that only Delta Goddesses could live there, and no future aspiring Goddesses would be admitted.
So after successfully completing the Trials of Pyramidhood, the Ten Delta Goddesses had to go through Heavenly Council to try to open up Gamma Kappa city again. Heavenly Council gave the ten Delta Goddesses in order to re--open the city.
And once they had more, the alumnus Delta Goddesses would be distinct from the Gamma Kappa Delta Goddesses.
Then came the Five-Alive. These were five lovely aspiring Goddesses yearning to become true Delta Goddesses. They were known as: Jazzmine, Gem, Topaz, Destiny & Sparkle. These aspiring Goddesses, with the help of the ten neophytes and Lady Robinson, successfully completed the trial of Pyramidhood. They became beautiful Delta Goddesses.
Heavenly Council then allotted the Goddesses a charter on May 20, 1980, and opened the Gates to Gamma Kappa city once more. Everyone lived happily ever after!!!!!!
So the Legacy Continues......
