To some, it’s a matter of being Purely Committed

Lyndsey Breard has formed a group that’s seeking local corporate and individual sponsors to encourage young girls to refrain from sex until marriage.
Lyndsey, a junior at Louisiana Tech University and daughter of Mike and Colette Breard, said her group is looking for local corporate and individual sponsors to help underwrite the speaking fees.
The group is a California-based organization called Purely Committed. Ten girls at Louisiana Tech and the University of Louisiana at Monroe are coordinating the first One Knight Only banquet for April 26 at the Monroe Civic Center.
Purely Committed was founded in September 2001 by college senior Jaime Rau. The first One Knight Only banquet was held last year in Santa Barbara, Calif., with 250 girls in attendance and actor Kirk Cameron as keynote speaker. Over half of the attendees made a public commitment to sexual purity until marriage following the banquet.
