Raised like a Brook Trout in the exciting wilds of Northern New Jersey, Dan moved west through migratory methods to the splendid Southern California environment known as San Diego.

Mostly self taught, (through spending many an afternoon with the Time-Life book series on photography) he has photographed extensively for a good part of his existence throughout the United States, portions of Europe, Israel, Trinidad & Tobago, Baja California and most recently Argentina & Chile.

He lists among his influences, Edward Weston, Henri Cartier Bresson, Paul Strand, Margaret Bourke-White, Jacque Lartigue and just a touch of Lenny Bruce.

He currently resides in sunny San Diego, California where he is a participant in the local arts community.
