The climate ranges from tropical to sub temperate

Brazil has four different
climatic regions: the Amazon Basin, the Brazilian plateau, the coastlands
within the tropics and the southern states.
The Amazon Basin doesn’t have a
dry season; at times in some places rainfall can exceed 80”. It has very
tropical temperatures, though down south night temperatures can fall below
50°F. During the day it is very humid and can make conditions quite
unpleasant.
Second is the Brazilian Plateau
with the rainy season falling between October and April. Depending where you
are visiting it can rain anywhere between 30” and 60”. In the northeast areas
there is less rain than down south and it changes how much year to year.
Next in the coastlands all
months are wet. Near the Amazons mouth the worst rainfalls happen from December
to May. Further south the wettest time is November to April. On the coast the
temperatures never get very high so it is never really uncomfortable weather
temperature wise, though at night the warmth and high humidity can make it a bit
unlikable.
The southern
states have warm temperatures. On the coast though a cooler season can produce
frost. In this region the season is judged by temperature instead of rainfall.
The cold air off the Antarctic can bring quite a chill at points, but in the
summer temperatures are like those in tropical regions. This region has a
healthy and pleasant climate. There are 8 to 9 hours of sunshine a day in the
summer. Unlike the coast the wettest months inland are in the summer.
