Jersey is one of four of the Channel Islands, the others being Guernsey, Alderney and Sark. Jersey is the most Southern Isle and is only 15 miles from France. From here to Southampton is 380 miles. The Island itself measures 9miles X 5miles. Sounds pretty small hey. For more information, click on the link below.
INFORMATION ABOUT JERSEY
I was born in Jersey and have lived here all my life. My parents are Jersey born and so are my Grandparents, which makes me a true Jersey Bean :). I find life in Jersey goes at a far slower pace then to that of English towns and cities I have visited. Theres lots of lovely beaches, lovely parks, cliff top walks, and of course the best feature is... a pub on every corner :). Nightlife is excellent with loads of different Clubs and late opening pubs to choose from.
Jersey is also famous for its Wildlife Preservation Trust. Unlike a normal Zoo, this only has animals that are nearly extinct in their natural habitats. The Trust have species from all over the world and have a breeding programme which, if sucessful, allows the animals to go back into the wild. Gerald Durrell is the man who founded the Trust.
