JESUS Christ John 7:22 Sermon.
JESUS Christ explained they were breaking the Law [though for Higher Purpose]:
John 7:22 New International Version "Yet, because Moses gave you circumcision (though actually it did not come from Moses, but from the patriarchs), you circumcise a boy on the Sabbath".
JESUS Christ told the truth that it was "Moses" since Abraham was prior to the Law, as in a recent Sermon "Has not Moses given you the law? Yet not one of you keeps the law. Why are you trying to kill me?" (https://biblehub.com/john/7-19.htm), hence JESUS Christ spoke not merely about Grace yet also the Law [and Grace without People self Governing nor aware of Law the risks about straying from Centerline Ascending Faithfully were often severe:
"Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit." (https://biblehub.com/matthew/15-14.htm).
Circumcision is according to at least Canon Law in many places (http://www.catholicldschristianity.com/the_lords_church.html), example Moroni 8:8 "Listen to the words of Christ, your Redeemer, your Lord and your God. Behold, I came into the world not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance; the whole need no physician, but they that are sick; wherefore, little children are whole, for they are not capable of committing sin; wherefore the curse of Adam is taken from them in me, that it hath no power over them; and the law of circumcision is done away in me.", and
this is possible according to Matthew 19:12 New Living Translation "Some are born as eunuchs, some have been made eunuchs by others, and some choose not to marry for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven. Let anyone accept this who can".
So newborns don't have to be circumcised though the skin fold might contain germs, and there can be comfort problems if not circumcized.
Though [some] not requiring circumcision does NOT mean Baptism is not required. Circumcision in the older males sense is a matter of self control. Full repentance with Baptism is a Higher Level Faith matter agreeing with JESUS Christ. See older Sermons in this Series on rather than mutilations including tattoos and piercings even though the Chosen in Egypt did such, and more recently on suicidal tendencies.
"The word 'canon' comes from the Greek word kanon, which means "reed, rod, or ruler" (AI Overview). In other words the "rod" is far more "severe" than Law for the innocent. If without Law and so unaware of Law, then such as to shoot and then find them shooting back: hence very "severe".
As written in the Earthly People times of preLaw: "God also said to Abraham, 'You must keep My covenant— you and your descendants in the generations after you. 12 "Generation after generation, every male must be circumcised when he is eight days old, including those born in your household and those purchased from a foreigner—even those who are not your offspring."
13 "Whether they are born in your household or purchased, they must be circumcised. My covenant in your flesh will be an everlasting covenant."

Abraham initiated circumcision though JESUS Christ did not blame Abraham in the above verse 22, rather found Abraham Worthy so Praised Abraham Upliftingly with the word "patriarchs": Centerline Ascending.

Laws are very complex (also see previous on contradictory illegal ones that were undone by Courts), and to add the Grace parameters and to add the individual Churches' criteria [such as symbolically rules about parking in the lot], then it is extremely difficult for a typical person that opted to be of little faith;
yet how to emphasize enough, that for His Faithfully Ascending Best For All, it is as written in Matthew 11:30 New International Version "For my yoke is easy and my burden is light".
People are invited to properly Ascend and in Heavenly Levels there are Souls and Spirits that often pass through each other as written
"A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” " (and Heaven On Earth https://biblehub.com/john/20-26.htm New International Version)
[hence those in a level are as having ascended to a level of Quality], as the Higher Levels Do things [such as Missions, Best For All] as according to JESUS Christ.
So if on Earth to opt to care too much about superficial (Cambridge Dictionary) appearances, then to opt to do the opposite of Heaven and self control; bearing in mind we are allowed and not slaves forced to do things (in the Higher Levels in the Bible).
JESUS told the partially contaminated partly strayed mobs, the Truth repeatedly, and in His [Romans and others back then] counted census Ministry JESUS Christ Exemplar became Victory Over excessive repeats, as written in 1 Corinthians 10:13 New International Version "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it".
There is glue, such as causes food to stick to a grill. If to opt to stray, hence toward into a type of addiction, then the glue sticks with other addictions, like glue on a ball and debris sticks until the ball is covered; this a a great Principle Of Faith JESUS Christ provided for us All.
Ascending Faithfully as JESUS Christ Kindly [specifically] invites is to fit [as symbolic "glue"] precept with precept as it all makes more sense.
Though the "ball" while to the point is symbolic. There are multitudes more things not yet encountered of this Civilization, for multitudes of Glories Friends.
