JESUS Christ John 7:20 Sermon.
John 7:20 New Living Translation "The crowd replied, 'You’re demon possessed! Who’s trying to kill you?' "? The word "Δαιμόνιον" "refers to evil spirits or forces opposed to God. The crowd's accusation reveals their misunderstanding and spiritual blindness, as they fail to recognize Jesus' divine authority" (https://biblehub.com/john/7-20.htm) even though having recognized JESUS Christ Preaching in the Temple with unheard of Authority in verse 18.
JESUS Christ Taught with that Grace Authority, while also complying with Law and Teaching Law too as He Preached, and the previous Sermon explained the legal aspect of the open ended question [in verse 20 "Who's"] in the crowd's confusions when the crowd could have so asked though should have more to the point asked "What", since the crowd already gave [wrongful] answer that it was a "demon" spirit.
If a person was "possessed" though teaching properly with Authority in the Temple, then the crowd should have addressed the "possessed" part, for instance if a person has a splinter then the crowd should have removed their log to remove the splinter (https://biblehub.com/matthew/7-5.htm): the splinter is not a person, the splinter is at least a Firmament lower level than any person. So to cast out "What" [the splinter] rather than to cast out a Soul.
JESUS Christ said as written in Mark 16:15 Berean Standard Bible "And He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature' ", so even rather in Higher Level Grace Spirit, precept on precept, that His Faithful should not cast out at all, for He Created All. So in this situation is to relocate the splinter to where it belongs [in the trash, in a forest,...(also reference fiber in a diet though in proper form)].
JESUS Christ had already explained to the crowd in the previous verse 19 Sermon "not one of you keeps the Law", so it is not about a name to answer "Who's", lest to refer the crowd to such as the census list.
One translation has the word "what" (https://biblehub.com/john/7-20.htm), and in the correct sense of not directed against any person, and rather directed to any statement or work that was wrong, though there was no wrong from JESUS Christ: Mace New Testament "for what do ye attempt to kill me? the people answered, saying, you are mad: who attempts to kill you?", and "who" is as the above "Who's" discussion.

The crowd lost in confusions was in strayed works to refute what JESUS Christ stated in previous Sermon verse 19 "not one of you keeps the Law" so the crowd was trying to make JESUS Christ's Proven "Authority" [as the crowd had stated] as though an absurd and false accusation, desperately (rather see previous Sermons in this Series on Giving "Desperate Love", "Best For All"). So the crowd's falsehood [as the crowd had attested in this verse 20 contrary to many previous verses] indicts itself, indicts the "crowd".

The previous Sermon explained the worldly brain has been a frayed tangle, yet JESUS Christ's Good Wisdom in His Faithful People Best Flow Understanding Precept On Precept. Rather than about misleading others if guilty, is to let Your Faith in JESUS Christ protect You. This does not mean rub a hand on a splinter to test God.
As applied in this generation, the secular and worldly movie The School of Rock had some strayed secretive things and after the great concert moment the Administrator realized the whole truth and hugged the accused, and the point of this sentence is a Person in the background seeing the hug realized there was no longer need to hide secrets anymore, showing a sigh of relief, a great burden was lifted, praise the Lord JESUS Christ!
From a lower level than legal, it had become a Higher Level value [though not all moral nor legal aspects were addressed hence so to speak in cliche "Don't try this at home" meaning no need to stray nor to tempt others to stray].
It is extremely difficult to hide secrets in the sense that if not Worthy Morally then opted subject to as written in Isaiah 59:5 New Living Translation " 'They hatch deadly snakes and weave spiders’ webs. Whoever eats their eggs will die; whoever cracks them will hatch a viper". So in cliche "It makes a person sick" is certainly an understatement. The Government TV Rating System certainly Gives Good Value For All, except not in the name of JESUS Christ nor in JESUS Christ's Spirit, save the Oath Of Office to properly Agree with the Bible and more to the point JESUS Christ UN now exists.
Large advertisers are keenly aware there are TV, Internet, and Radio rating systems other than the "Government TV Rating System" type. In the recent verse 18 Sermon JESUS Christ said "beware" "of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees". Many advertisers are anxious to reach the most visitors, though as linked above at the "Main Site" there are Survey Results as evidence many advertisers have been hardly represented, unless in hope to market to that merely 1% or former merely 2%.
For instance i confess bias, though since legal and moral per se, rather than confess is to broadcast this Best For All (see above "Mark 16:15") to clarify that having worked for Nielsen IQ representing 100,000 People, there was no wrong as explained in the previous sentence.
So there are tools such as ratings systems, though as JESUS Christ Exemplar showed above [integrity, honesty, "Authority", and likewise], be as JESUS Christ rather than as that "crowd" back then. So this applies to All People [and all Spirits], rather than about false accusations. We have already learned in JESUS Christ Victory Over former lower levels of the teachings "of the Pharisees and Sadducees"; yet We need to apply it.
Faith in words without works is dead. James 2:26 New Living Translation "Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works".
If to be an investor, such as an advertiser, then to invest where Best For All (as stated above "recognize Jesus' divine authority" and be likewise saying with doing).
