The Drop Zone Modular Universal Loadbearing Equipment System (MULES) consists of carriers and accessories. Carriers being items such as back packs, vests and belts, while the accessories are pouches, pockets, and sheaths.

The "universality" in the system comes from the fact that almost 100 percent of the load bearing carriers can be used with different load bearing systems accessories, and in many cases without any special adapters!

Many if not most of the Drop Zone accessories have belt loops, allowing them to be used with other load bearing carriers.

No longer do SWAT teams or search and rescue organizations have to order custom made load bearing gear for each team member to suit different equipment needs. The heart of the system is the extensive use of bandoleers to which U.S. Army Alice Clips or heavy duty wire tie wraps (we call'em zap straps) can be slipped through to secure the accessories.
