Valujet DC-9-21 N127NK (47361/488) Del. 05/01/1969 to Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) as SE-DBO 'Siger Viking'
Valujet operated four ex SAS DC-9-21 aircraft of which only ten examples were built. The -21 combined the fuselage of the DC-9-10 with the wing of the DC-9-30 and an upgraded JT8D-11 engine rated at 15,000lbs of thrust. The -21s MTOW of 98,000 pounds gave it a range of 1,250 miles with a full payload and seating 80 passengers in a mixed class lay-out.
