Photo Gallery Two

Japan Airlines DC-10-40(D) JA8540 (47823/306) Del. 12/24/1979

Japan Airlines is the only other airline that ordered the Series 40. Here we see a beautiful example wearing the original delivery scheme, which would later be changed to a rather bland all white color scheme. This aircraft was retired by the airline and now serves with Russian Airline Aeroflot as VP-BDE. (Michael J. Carter Collection)

The same aircraft as above, now wearing the updated color scheme of the airline touches down after operating another of it's many domestic flights hence the 40(D) designation.
