In the words of Mr John Gilfedder, Craig Schlencker was the "INVENTOR" of

Craig produced his first music manuscript in 1973.

This was in response to scoresheets being unavailable at any outlet in Brisbane.

As a result of their personal unfulfilled need, composers - led by Craig - rallied together
and a manuscript for musicians was produced . . .

The response was overwhelming.

Within 30 days of hitting the shelves, customers were walking in to music retailers'
and when they previously might have requested:

"a book of manuscript please"

—      after the "invention" of the  range and marketing edge      —
customers had began requesting
. . .
"a book of  please" . . .

Furthermore . . .
"when asked what colour would you like?" . . .

and the customer service officer "fanned" the spectrum of cover colours to the customer
. . .
the customer was heard to respond:
. . .

"Oh ... they are lovely aren't they? . . .  I'll take one of each please!"

Hence  became the staple diet for Australian musicians . . .

with requests from overseas not infrequent !!!
