So I go to the Side One Dummy site the other day just to check on some of my favorite bands and what not. And what do I see pop up right in front of my eyes when I get there? A paragraph explaining to me that some asshole hacked in to the label's system and was stealing people's credit card numbers, therefore, they had to take the online store down. I don't know about you, but I got incredibly pissed off after reading this. Because of some random dickhead, (or group of dickheads) I can't buy Side One Dummy's releases anymore. Unless of course I head to the only music store in town, which just happens to be FYE. Lucky me, I have the opportunity to have the privilege of telling everyone that, "Why yes, I paid $17 for that new CD." That's one group that I can live without being a member of. I just want to know what the fuck this guy was doing. It's not as if he was ripping off a big company or something, no, he was stealing from people like you and me who buy CDs online. I'm just a normal guy trying to make my way along, and now I have to carry the loads of shitbags like this on my back? I don't think so, not in my lifetime.
Let me end by saying that I want to sit down and have a long deep conversation with this guy. And after that I'd like to beat the snot out of him smash his computer into tiny little bits and then rub all those little bits of silicon and whatnot into his face. Maybe then I'll castrate him with a rusty nail. Nothing can justify this heinous act of theft and destroying people's trust in a well known retailer who, like me trying to get along in life, is just trying to sell some records, so they can continue making records for as long as possible. I ask you shitbag, who are you to fuck with that?
