Beer Review: Snakebite Black & Tan

A mix of Sweet Water's Snake River Pale Ale and their Giddyup Stout, this black and tan was an obvious choice for me (joining the two beers I had most enjoyed that eve). An initial coffee flavor with slight hints of hops was present in this medium-to-heavy bodied beer. Intriguing mix, eh? The layers of the B & T were mixed, leading to a dark overall color. The coffee flavor / aftertaste was muted a bit from the straight stout, but this brew still went down smooth. A very drinkable mix with a complex flavor, this beer was a little on the heavy side. That being said, get it (as I happened to) as your last beer of the evening (and enjoy!).
