Beer Review: New River Pale Ale

Did you ever have a neighbor who had a little snowplow on their lawn tractor? And when it'd snow real bad, they'd drop by and clear out your driveway? They had the right equipment and were nice enough to want to help you out. This is the case with Old Dominion and New River Pale Ale. Old Dominion took a home brewer's recipe and brewed up this pale ale for him (and all of us lucky locals as well). The OD Beer Menu cries out 'Full-Bodied' and 'Assertively Hopped'. I found this brew to have a good hops flavor (without being too overpowering). I'd definitely recommend a try -- and that apparently goes for you folks in southwestern Virginia as well, as it appears Old Dominion is letting someone distribute this beer (in what I guess to be the home brewer's home territory). Good stuff! -- Brewmeister G
