Beer Review: Victory HopDevil Ale
Hoppiness should be a virtue of all good beers. Of course, with the word 'devil' in the name, Victory's HopDevil Ale may not easily be thought of as a 'good' beer. But oh it is! The bold taste washes down smoothly, with little aftertaste. I first sampled this strong (6.7%) India Pale Ale at the 2001 Old Dominion Beer Festival (the second brew I had tried that day). My sole note to myself? "Very good!" After finding a bottle of this to re-sample, I have to agree with my earlier impression. This is a quality brew!
