Beer Review: Hard Times Select

A bronze medal winner in the Dortmunder / Export Lager category at the 1993 Great American Beer Festival, this lager is brewed for the Hard Times Cafe restaurants in the area. Lighter in color, with a medium-to-light body, this was smooth and tasty! This brew had a good flavor for a lager -- stuff was actually 'happening' in the taste (versus just being crisp and wet, as is often the case with lagers (in my opinion)). Nicely balanced, this was another very good lager from Old Dominion. -- Brewmeister G
