Beer Review: DeGroen's Märzen
Märzen is German for March, as brews of this type were traditionally made up in the Spring, drank during the Summer, and finally finished in the Fall. At Oktoberfest, of course! This offering from DeGroen's, my final sampling of the day, is such a märzen / Oktoberfest beer. Smooth, with a medium color and body, there were no fruit notes in this brew. No 'bite' either, as one would expect from a 'fest beer. An enjoyable Oktoberfest. -- Brewmeister G
