Trunks is half Saiyajin and half Human. He is son of Prince Vegeta and Computer Genius Bulma. That explains his intelligence and his fighting abilities.Trunks first appears on the series after the Frieza saga. He kills Frieza in an instant with his sword and finishes off King Cold before Goku can return to Earth. Trunks is from the future where 2 androids (17 and 18) wreak havoc on the earthlings. His reason for time travel is to give Goku a medicine for a rare heart disease that will kill Goku in Trunks' timeline. With Goku with the medicine in his possesion, he would be healthy and be alive to help fight the androids. Also might I add, the only z fighters in the future are Gohan and Trunks. Everyone else was killed by the androids.That is also the reason for time travel. In the future that Trunks knows Gohan is killed and that is when Trunks learns how to turn Super Saiyajin. Trunks is by far my favorite character because he never gives up and because he looks cool. Oh yeah, if I dyed my hair, I would look lilke him.
