Relative Possibilities

Essentially, all reality seats itself within the mind. Perceptions colour reality into a subjective form. Therefore, the aspect of what becomes "real" to you may not be a shared experience. Your concepts differ from anyone else's. Hence, the realization of the Self. As reality molds to your interpretations of external, and internal, forces it can be deduced that the individual consciously manifests unconscious form. Meaning, you create your own reality from the mind-stuff that indwells your unconscious, magickal, Self.
Science confirms, on the quantum level, that the subtlest manipulations alter the effective outcome based on the individual's observation. Hence, reality is subjective. Acceptable reality subjects itself to the boundaries of the group, or mass, awareness. Thereby, a community, expressing the intent of its collective unconscious, manipulates reality to conform to acceptable standards expected by the consensus. In layman's terms, the group mind controls the overall outcome, although unconsciously. The uninformed, or uninvolved, create the idea that the absence of response equates to consent.
In this light, the phrase "Hermits have no peer pressure" emits a dynamic principle. Without the exertion of another's will to affect the mood of the collective unconscious, the Self-will creates its personal level of acceptable reality. Unfortunately, the human being can never remain an island unto itself. Else, it becomes lost in the sea of contrition. Society, for all its ills, remains the barometer for acceptable form. The primary hope is that we will socially evolve to a level of higher consciousness, and thereby relate collectively as a deeper reflection of the Divine, and not the transient quality that has become acceptable form.
