Deity represents a subconscious
ability to interact with the Universal mind. An unconscious connection
collectively links the thoughts of each member of the family of
mankind. Yet, this collective unconscious remains hidden from
the most conscious awareness. Our truest relationship to the magickal
Self remains an active operation of the subconscious, or imagination.
That level of faculty which lay carefully beneath the surface
of the conscious mind acting as a buffer zone between waking reality
and magickal truth. If not for the diplomatic abilities of the
subconscious, and its subsequent relationship to human divinity,
deity would have no reason to exist.
Man pleads and supplicates to deity out of an unconscious desire
to manifest universal truth. Deity acts as a repository for mankind's
hopes and fears, without which none would find spiritual comfort.
Therefore, deity remains an active, necessary aspect of humanity's
spiritual, emotional, and psychological needs. Deity becomes the
manifestation of human unconscious, magickal Self. Worship of
said form enables the performance of magick. It is therefore the
subtle manipulation of higher power within ourselves that enacts
deity and its subsequent "supernatural" works.
