Dragon Ball TC
Chapter Seven
"Well, this is an odd situation... Me being saved by a girl..." Said Trunks. Rini had a blank expression on her face.
"Did I do something wrong?" She asked.
"Kind of, but not really. You beat my dad. His pride has been hurt really bad." He said.
"I’m sorry." She said.
"Don’t be."
"I shouldn’t have challenged him in the first place. I thought he was going to hurt you, so I stepped up..." Trunks looked at her.
"You thought he was going to hurt me?" She sheepishly nodded. "You were concerned about me?" She nodded again. He turned her face towards his, leaned down a little bit, and kissed her. When he finished, she stared off into space.
"What just happened?" She asked, dazed and confused.
"It was a question." She looked puzzled.
"A question?"
"Yeah."
"What was it?" He grinned to himself and laughed quietly.
"I want you to be my girlfriend." He said, his face turning pink. Rini looked into his eyes, which concluded as a definite answer.

"Saya, what clothes should I wear?" Rini was sitting in her room with her best friend Saya, who also came from the future. But she was only visiting for a short time.
"I don’t know. Maybe you should wear a dress, or something." She said.
"Oh, I just want my date with Trunks to be perfect!"
"It will be perfect, don’t stress about it. You still have until tomorrow night to decide." Rini sat in her vanity chair and was going through her makeup. She help up two tubes of lipstick.
"What color?"
"Maybe you should pick out your clothes first, then decide on your makeup, so you can color coordinate."
"Yeah, that would make sense..." She said. Saya was going through Rini’s closet, looking for new clothes.
"Don’t you have any other colored clothing besides pink?"
"Well, not really, but I do have a dress that is purple..."
"Purple! That’s it!"
"What’s what?"
"You can show how much you like him, by wearing clothes that are the same color as his hair!" Rini made a weird face.
"Iiiiiiii.... Don’t think so..." She said, grabbing one of her sweaters.
"How’s this sweater with the skirt I’m wearing?" She held up a sweater to herself. It was pink, sparkly, kind of fuzzy, with a bit of feathery stuff on the collar. Saya squealed with delight.
"Ooooohhhh!!! That looks ssssooooooo cute!!!" She said. Rini smiled and put the hanger back on. She hung it back in her closet, so it didn’t end up getting ruined.
"Makeup?" Rini dumped her makeup bag onto the floor, with caps and brushes flying everywhere. Saya picked up a tube of red lipstick.
"Red brings out your eyes... The only part of you that isn’t pink!" She said, laughing. Rini held up two colors of eyeshadow, and Saya chose pink, along with the mascara, blush, and the rubber bands for her pig tails.
"Rini, your date with Trunks is going to be perfect..." She said, eyes welling with tears of joy.
"What are you going to be doing, anyways?" Asked Saya, wiping her eyes.
"First, we’re going to go to a movie, and then, we’re going to take a walk to the pond, and then, this is the good part, he’ll drop me off, at home, along with a good-night kiss!" The two girls squealed with excitement.
"You are so lucky!" Said Saya. Rini was digging through her shoes.
"Yeah... Trunks is such a sweet guy..." She said.
"Should I wear vinyl boots, or high heels?"
"Definitely vinyl boots." She said. Rini gathered all of her supplies and put them on her desk.
"What will your dad say about this?" Asked Saya. Rini looked at her.
"My dad? No, he’s not my dad. I was adopted."
"I know. What will Yamcha say about this? Have you even talked to him yet?" Rini looked at the ground. "Well, then let’s go!" Saya grabbed Rini’s arm and drug her out of the house. "Fly." She ordered. Since Saya was a mere Earthling, only Rini could fly. She picked her up, and went to Trunks’ house.
********
Rini rang the doorbell. Vegeta answered.
"Go away."
"What’s with you? I just wanted to talk to Trunks."
"He’s not here. He flew off yesterday, and he never came home."
"Really?" Vegeta nodded.
"Bummer... Well, thanks anyways." She shot off.
********
"How did you know I’d be here?" Asked Trunks.
"It’s the only other place you would go. I need to ask you a question."
"Yeah?"
"Where does Yamcha live?"
"Why?"
"Saya said I should go talk to him."
"Saya? Who’s that?" Rini pointed to the girl, hiding among the bushes. She nervously waved.
"I’ll take you there, if you want."
"Sure..." She said.
"Saya, you can find your way home, right?" Saya pulled out a capsule. She threw it.
"Yeah. Thanks for the motorcycle." She said.
"Don’t forget to come back and get Spike in a few weeks!" Rini saw Saya wave in approval.
"Shall we go?" Asked Trunks.
"Yeah." Trunks flew up into the air, but, for some reason, Rini couldn’t. She tried again and again, but no luck.
"Trunks, something’s wrong. I can’t fly." He came down, and stood next to her.
"Here. I’ll carry you." He picked her up, with one arm under her knees, and the other behind her back.
When he started flying, Rini was getting cold. She unbuttoned his coat and wrapped her arms around his torso. He just kept flying, not slowing or anything.
After what seemed like too soon, he stopped and landed on the ground. After he set her down, he buttoned his long, khaki coat. Rini sat in front of the door, just staring at Yamcha’s house.
"This is where I should live?" She asked herself. With trembling knees, she managed to walk up to the door and knock.
"Hello? May I help you?" Asked Yamcha. When Rini looked into his eyes, she saw her own.
"Daddy!" She jumped up and threw her arms around his neck. He looked puzzled. But when Yamcha saw Trunks, he looked at him funny.
"Who...?" He asked.
"I’m your daughter." His eyes shot up into the size of oranges.
"My daughter?! I have a daughter?!" She nodded, and then smiled.
"Believe it or not, I came from the future! Your wife won’t have me for another couple of years!"
"I have a wife? I don’t even have a girlfriend!" Rini giggled.
"You do in the future! She’s my mom!"
"I have a kid?!"
"Duh, silly! Me! Your daughter!" He smiled.
"Umm, okay..." Just then, he looked into her eyes and saw his own. That’s when he knew.
"You are my daughter!" He hugged her back.
********
All Friday morning, Rini was hopping and skipping all over the place. She even said a few nice things about Spike, and how he looked that day. The night before, she had spent a lot of time with Yamcha, and he told her that she was only a half -Saiyan, which explained the color of her hair. Now, Spike and Rini live with him. It was like she never even knew her foster dad.
"Good morning, Spiiiiiiiiiiiiikke!" She sang. He was rushing all over the place.
"What is it? Why are you so cheerful? You’re starting to scare me..."
