Key Configuration ===================================================================== This is the default key configuration. You can change it from the options menu when you run the game. Button Player 1 Player 2 ------ -------- -------- Up Up arrow Numpad Up Down Down arrow Numpad Down Left Left arrow Numpad Left Right Right arrow Numpad Right X L Numlock Y semicolon Numpad slash Z double-quote Numpad asterisk A comma Numpad - B period Numpad + C slash Numpad Enter Start Enter Numpad PgDn If you have a joystick, you can enable it through the options screen. Press F1 to access Input Config and set up your joystick from there. Scroll left/right on the joystick type option to pick your joystick type. If MUGEN is unable to detect your joystick, its name will be shown in grey. You can also set the joystick type from the [Input] group in data/mugen.cfg. Note that you cannot enable more than one joystick at a time. Most popular joysticks work in 4 or 6 button mode. Sidewinder and SNESKey pads are supported by Allegro, but have not been tested. PSX joypads are supported through a DirectPad Pro PSX converter. You can find converter building instructions at www.ziplabel.com. You may want to know that the given schematics operate the PSX pad at a higher voltage than is recommended. Neither us nor the DirectPad Pro people will be liable for any damage that may result. Support for the pads through the converter is native; you do not need the DirectPad Pro software drivers to run. Refer to the mugenfaq.txt for more information on PSX joypad converters, including how to enable it in M.U.G.E.N. ===================================================================== II. Running the Game ===================================================================== At the prompt, type MUGEN to begin (if in Windows, double-click MUGEN.EXE). M.U.G.E.N supports most Sound Blaster-compatible soundcards. To run this beta release, you will need a VESA 1 or VESA 2 compatible video card. VGA is NOT supported. For the "team" modes, you first choose what team mode you would like to play in. Press up/down to choose a mode. Some modes, such as Turns mode, allow you to set the number of players on a team by pressing left/right. Press a key to choose an option. In "Team Arcade", after selecting your players, you have a choice of your opponents' team mode. These are the different kinds of team modes: Single - Just you alone. Your character has 2 rounds. Simul - You and a partner at the same time. Your team has 2 rounds. Turns - You and up to 3 partners. When one character is KOed, the next will join in. Each character has 1 round. The characters' starting life will be adjusted according the number of players on each side. Team Co-op is slightly different. The only team mode allowed is Simul, which is automatically selected. Player One first gets to select his character, followed by Player Two selecting the partner character. When Player Two is done, Player One chooses the opponent's team mode. In "Watch" mode, first choose the team mode and characters to be on Player One's side, then do the same for Player Two. Switching order in Turns mode ----------------------------- When you are playing Turns team mode, you can change your team order during one of these situations: 1. right before the match start loading 2. after you lose a round, and right before the next round is loaded The order switching is achieved by holding a directional button down. Hold forward to rotate your team order by one member forwards. Hold back to rotate your team order by one member backwards. If you have 4 available members, you can rotate it by 2 members by holding up. Note that you can only rotate with members that have not yet been KO'ed. Here is a chart to clarify the way it works. starting team 1 2 3 4 | 1 2 3 | 1 2 ----------+---------+------ hold fwd: 2 3 4 1 | 2 3 1 | 2 1 hold back: 4 1 2 3 | 3 1 2 | 2 1 hold up: 3 4 1 2 | ^ | ^ ^ | | | | | this is the character that will come in Training Menu ------------- A training menu has been added to Training mode. Sorry To Bare Bad News: This program should not be installed if your computer is too slow or out of efficent memory. The game may cancel if it can't load a character due to memory or speed. Because of the number of characters in the game, 4GB may not be enough memory. 4.50 or more GB is a nice minimum if you want no interrupts. The game takes up about 124MB, but the characters take up the whole memory to load up right. This is probably why most computer games only have about or up to 10 or 20 characters. We had to be different......sorry. Glad To Bare Good News: If your computers doesn't have enough memory, install it anyway. This game is a DOS game. Don't let the Name "DOS" fool you. It doesn't look like a DOS game, it looks like a Windows game...Anyway. Just shutdown your computer and restart it to MS-DOS mode. When you see this: C:\ , type the following in this order (depending on whether you decided to install it in the default location): Cd progra~1 Cd dragon~1 Dragon~1.exe The program should start up and probably work better that on windows. If it doesn't, try the game in windows again. If neither work, you can always uninstall it. ===================================================================== V. Updates & Versions To Come ===================================================================== This is just version 1.0 of the game. More & better characters, stages, and music to be add to versions 2.0, 3.0, and Final. New Characters like Ultra SSJ3 Broli, Super Goku, Mega SSJ4 Goku, SSJ3 Vegetto, SSJ4 Gogeta, SSJ Gotenks, SSJ3 Gotenks, and much much more will be in the next versions. Just so everyone knows, SSJ5 Goku & SSJ5 Vegeta will be one of the top new characters for version 3.0 or Final version . For the girls, Bulma, Chichi, and SSJ Pan (hey She's 1/4 saiyan). For updates, a way better Mr. satan, SSJ Vegeta, and some I can't remember right now. Just so everyone knows, I plan to add 10 or more characters to each new version, but not more than 20 per new version. For those who visited me old site, http://www.angelfire.com/ok3/GokuGohan/index.html...it doesn't work anymore, and read my site's fanfiction, Dragonball EX, those characters will be in version 2.0, 3.0, or Final. Characters like Demon Boo, Links, SSJ Links, Super Brolly and much more will be in the next versions. For those who have no clue of what fanfiction we're talking about, please read the site's fanfiction called Dragonball EX. Check back at the site, http://gokusandgohans.cjb.net, for the next version of this game, DragonBall EX: Fighters' Resurrection 2, around November. ===================================================================== VI. Disclaimer ===================================================================== We will take no credit for the creation of any characters that we didn't create ourselves. None of the characters in this version were created by us. The credit goes the creators. The only credit we will take is the credit for putting the game together. Not much credit, but it is all we got. We didn't make the program to the game. In other words, We did not make the program that makes games. So we take no credit at all for the program. To get your copy of the program to make your own games, go to http://www.elecbyte.com. ===================================================================== VII. Thanks and Comments ===================================================================== Thanks for Downloading the game. Please give us feedback on the game. Tell us what you liked and didn't liked. We've spend a lot of time testing out the game, so if their is a problem with the game that is not stated in mugenfaq.txt, please contact me, cuz we might know what it is. Your input will help us better design versions 2.0 and 3.0. Oh yeah, please tell us if I should lower or raise the number of people you have to fight.....I will be keep all the characters on the game, but make you fight half of them instead of all 77 characters or make a version will less characters on it.
