September 14, 2002. The day that changed both of our lives forever. We never thought that this day would ever come, especially how it came. How it came... We guess that we will share a little bit of inside information with you.

We first met through people around the end of 2000. Actually Tracy and Erica are cousins. Erica is married to Ray. David works with Ray. David somewhat met Tracy through Ray, in a sense, but not directly. But that is when it first started. We started hanging out after that.

Then we started hanging out exclusively. Whenever we weren't working, we were with each other. Then after a while, David just moved on it with Tracy, well basically it wasn't official yet.

August 1st, Tracy turns 19, and David meets Mary and Jim for the first time. Who would have known that things would turn out the way that they did then. Just the day before David designed Tracy's first tattoo, bought it for her, then bought her a piece o' crap tongue ring, and tickets to a Padres game. It's not that we are Padres fans, the Reds were in town... DUH..!! August 5th. First the day started off by Tracy's car getting broken into the night before. Not a good sign at all. Then things got better when we witnessed the Reds totally slaughter the Padres, which was a sign that it was going to be a good day. Which it was. We had now become an official couple.

That didn't take long. We had decided to get married just a short time later. Some people thought we were crazy, some people thought that it was right, but we didn't care, because they couldn't live our lives for us.

By this time, David gets his first ever taste of Arizona. He didn't know what to think at first. He may not show it by the way he acts, but he is a very shy person. Thankfully, Tracy's family welcomed him. David got to meet all of Tracy's brothers. He fit right in with them. He seemed to find a certain connection about something with each one of the them. Which helped things go smoother. And David treated Jim and Mary with the respect that they deserved. Actually David was shared $h!+L3ss about making a bad impression and was on his best behavior. And then finally David was welcomed in.

Then we finally tied the knot. People called us crazy again, but once again, we didn't listen. And so far we are making believers that there are times when you can just tell that the person you have met is your soul mate.

Not too long after that, Korben Zavier Shuler is no longer a thought and is now reality.

Then Tracy finally gets her first taste of Kentucky and Cincinnati. Tracy was welcomed into the family right from the start. David's family thought that if David thought she was good enough to bring into the family, then she was good enough for them. It's funny how they reacted, too. The first thing out of their mouths was "What do you see in him?" Tracy loved it there. All of the dogs and cats. Didn't get a chance to ride the horses, but there is always later. Finally got the chance to see the country. But even though it was the first time in Ky and Cinti, it won't be the last. But she got to meet the people behind the voices.

But we did have ourselves some hard times, not with eachother, nope, with everything else. Tracy is pregnant, David is crippled. We weren't sure on how we were going to afford anything. Since Tracy became pregnant, it was hard for her to do physical stuff, so she couldn't really go get a job. But that wasn't a big deal. But given David's physical status, already having one surgery, and needing another one, not being able to get any type of extension from the military because he isn't healthly, no matter what type of Marine he has been, it didn't really matter. But there is was almost a year since David addressed the problem with his ankle, and finally the Navy has an answer for what the problem is. A broken bone that needs to be removed. Just as luck would have it, since David was getting the run around, it would give them enough time to put David on a medical board that would extend David's term in the military. Which as you guessed, David and Tracy being able to have their son without having any financial debt...

Well, after that, we have had a whirl of a time trying to (re)adjust to the civilian life again. David is going to college on the gubbment's dime to eb a gym teacher. Figure that's the only thing he really knows, so why fight it, eh? Tracy is working as a waitress at a retirement community, and being the best damned one they got too. Tracy will eventually go to some type of school to do something, but when the time gets right and oh yeah, the money is right too, then she will go after she picks something to do.

That's about it for now, just getting ready for Korben's 1st birthday (July 23rd) and Tracy's 21st (August 1st).
