the band...

The Making of the Monsters:

Having begun in summer of 2000 we have moved along quickly in becoming either the most revered and respected band or the most hated and despised in Portland. We have had to share the stage with such bands as Dead Moon, D.O.A., Electric Frankenstein, Honky, Sado-Nation, Fireballs of Freedom, Lopez, The Riffs, 800 Octane, Hellfire Choir, The Strap-Ons, The Gloryholes, Akimbo, Big Business, PeeLander-Z and many other local and national acts. Fueled by sarcasm and hate it is our goal to warp the minds of the drunk and the young. Self-deprecation and alcohol fuel the rock with influences from 70's rock/metal, punk, 60's garage, oldies and rockabilly. We recently are in rotation on MOHAWK RADIO (www.mohawkradio.com). We were recently on the June 17, 2005 broadcast of RUE MORGUE RADIO (www.rue-morgue.com) . We have been interviewed and played live and been interviewed on local university radio station KPSU. We even convinced people in British Columbia that we were a good idea to bring to Naughty Camp 2001 and 2003. Having taken to the road three times before, and in true rock and roll suicide fashion, we have seen many hobo hospitals across the country. Number three was certainly a charm and I am proud to say the 2004 summer US tour was completed without ending up in the hospital. Currently we are preparing for our southwestern states tour for 2005. Check out the shows section of our website to see if we make it near your town. We have recently appeared on two compilation albums Drinking About Songs (Very Small Records) which we contributed I Love Lucky Lager and Damned For All Time, Volume 4 (National Dust Records) which we contributed Big Men of Rock and Roll. We also have the track Happy Fuckin’ Birthday on a tribute album to Vaginal Discharge coming out later this year. If you have not heard or seen Vaginal Discharge from Joplin, Missouri then you are truly missing a thing of beauty my friend. These comps with our two new releases Too Fat For Love a 7” (Infringement Records), and Who Will Be The Lucky Pierre? a full length CD (Last Chance Records) are just beginning. We are currently recording That's Why I Love Drinkin’ for Blind Spot Records new comp. We will continue to abuse the northwest, and now..the rest of the world.
