Brief blurbs about what I've finished
- 3-03 Crossroads of Twilight by Robert Jordan - complex, involved, time not advancing very quickly. The stuff with Matt was highly amusing. Hopefuly, next time, I won't get the book as a 14 day loan the week before and the week of finals.
- 12/1-03ish(?) Yearwood by Paul Hazel - rather strange and dark. Didn't always make much sense because it was too weird. But I guess it's worth reading anway, and I intend to finish the second book in the series some day.
- a while ago; What's so Amazing about Grace? and Soul Survivor by Philip Yance - not bad, some good points about the current state of the church. Don't remember too much, it's been a while since I read 'em.
- 4-8-03 I've just got around to updating this. It's been a while, I may have forgetten a few, but here goes.
- 9-02 Otherland: City of Golden Shadow (book one, I foget who it's by)- Very long but worth reading. Scifi, virtual reality. However, make sure you've got time to read all four in case you like it. The first book doesn't realy end, it should be volume one. I hope to find some time eventualy to read the rest of the series.
- 9-02 In the Hall of the Dragon Ring by Stephen Lawhead- interesting, a bit predicatble and preachy, but does have some good insight
- 9-02 The Dragonlance Legends Trillogy (Test of the Twins, War of the Twins, something else, not necessarity in that order)- like chronicles, i like very much. Fascinating concept of morality and the gods. I may not entirely agree, but I have see way too many people "blinded by their own goodness"
- 9-02 Book Three of Dragonlance Chronicles: Dragons of Spring Dawning- like the others, quite good and involved.
- 8-02 Nausea by Sartre- creepy, it made way too much sense. it's a good book, but it really dragged me down with it, revealing and highlighting much about myself I sometimes wish I didn't know.
- 8-02 Book Two of the Dragonlance Chronicles: Dragons of Winter Night by Maragaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman- Very good. seems long, but I sure went through it fast enough. paperback print is small. Very complex world, easy to enter into and full.
- 8-02 Book Three of the Song of Albion, The Endless Knot by Stephen Lawhead- finishes off the loose ends from the other two, some parts are a little predictable, the ending is interesting.
- 8-02 Book Two of the Song of Albion, The Silver Hand by Stephen Lawhead - pretty good, only think is it's not quite as suspenseful when you know the good guy's got to win sometime somehow, but aren't most books that way?
- 7-02 Dragons of Autumn Twilight, Book One of the Dragonlance Cronicles by Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman- Quite good, excelent character development. I even managed to keep all the people straight, which for me with that many is an amazing thing. Reminds me that I also need to finish the Death Gate Cycle by the same authors some time.
- 7-02 The Fall by Camus- disturbing, but fascinating. I identify with some of the feelings expressed, especialy the desire to destroy everyone's false opinions of yourself... but I haven't reached the same conclusions of dealing with life.
- 7-02 The First Man by Camus- autobiographical but with names changed. quite fascinating and adds a lot to the other books by him. always fun to be able to see into someone else's head.
- 7-02 Song of Albion Book One: The Paradise War by Stephen Lawhead- OOHH!! Celtic mythology! Need I say more?
- 7-02 The Stranger by Camus- Aparently a classic. I didn't like it that much, the ending answered nothing. But it was well done, I suppose.
- 7-02 The Plague by Camus- quite good. unlike the stranger, the ending was, well, uplifting i guess, in a real sense, even though he didn't claim to have many answers.
- 7-02 No Exit by Sartre- quite fascinating and well written. would like to see it performed some time (it's a one act play)
