Take Flight

One look into your eyes I saw
The thing that could defy any law
An infernal fire burning bright
In a place that was dark as night
I knew this fire very well
It was the start of a deep love spell
And though those eyes I can't resist
I try to pretend they dont exist
Although I am so painfully in love
My fears hold back a caged dove
Could it fly with these broken wings?
With only memories of teary things
Could it go and join its mate
And believe its hard life was still fate
My fears are not of love's cost
Because love is worth more than the most
But love gained is always love lost
And to be alone would be the worst
I know love is supposed to conquer all
I think chances with my true one are small
So close still to struggle to unite
And soon angel wings could take flight
Fears will fade into the mist
And I'll know why my heart had to insist
