Mr. Gharsiyya-Yes, naturally I speak the Spanish language and the language of Aljamiyah also.

Mr. Smith-Since I have been in Spain before, I was not in old Al Andalus before, never before!
Sidi Smith-Lekin ana edaima 'arraadt nenruh' lel Andalus, wi neshuf hwayej kemeddli el Qalat el Ah'mar, wi maadhee el mesjid fe Qurtubah.
Mr. Smith-But I always wanted to go to Al Andalus, and see such things like the Alhambra, and of course the mosque in Cordoba.
Sidi Gharsiyya-Ilaajni 'nta fe h'ezz, le ghedwa nh'nu hanenshuf 'alal 'aqall el mesjid el qdeem el Baidun fe Qurtubah!

Mr. Gharsiyya-At first it was, truly in time all praise be to Allah as we say as Mudéjares, slowy we are learning the language of our ancestors!

Mr. Smith-That is pleasant to see my friend! I am happy that although I am Christian, and I knew only about Christian Spain, I am happy to learn more as you say insha'allaah, about Islamic Spain!

Mr. Gharsiyya-This is more Andalusian Arabic. Of course assalaamu 'alaikom, men fadlak, shukran, are in Fush'a Arabic and Andalusian Arabic as well my friend!

Lel Qalat el Ah'mar (At the Alhambra)

Sidi Gharsiyya wi Sidi Smith, ayqadhoo badree fessabah wi waçaloo fel khair, lel Qalat el Ah'mar fe Gharnatah. Maadhee, el manthar el asar el 'adheem kaan weh'du fee dhaayahi, el garez!
Mr. Gharsiyya and Mr. Smith, woke up early in the morning and arrived at last, at the Alhambra in Granada. Certainly, the view of the great monument by itself in itself, is of admiration!
Sidi Gharsiyya-Hekda, gool leyya Sidi Smith, en'ana enna 'nta fel khair hna, shlu tedhunn?

Sidi Smith-'Nta gaalt enna eddawlah nwaas Nasridun, kunna eddawlah el akhaira yuskun feddahkhil el Qalat el Ah'mar. Gasr haadha sheeh', kaan murtras el majmua'a el Beiduniyya!
Mr. Smith-You said that the dynasty of the Nasrid, was the last dynasty to dwell within the Alhambra. This fortress truly, was a bulwark of Moorish society!
Sidi Gharsiyya-Na'am, el Qalat el Ah'mar kaan el jaah el 'adheemah lel Belediyyun. Muwassas enna el Qalat el Ah'mar bedun mua'alijaa, nhu el mafaazaa ekbarah el Andalus ao Esbaanya Islamiyya!
Mr. Gharsiyya-Yes, the Alhambra was of great dignity to the Moors. It is established that the Alhambra without dispute, it is the greatest achievement of Al Andalus of Islamic Spain!

Once inside the Alhambra the realization of the monument immediately gave insight into what life was for the Moors to Mr. Smith.
Sidi Smith-Ma gharwash Sidi Gharsiyya, asar haadha yamaththal edhdhaat el kullshi men bayyi el feh'mee el Belediyyun. Kufwan le hadzaaraat ekhairah el Islaam, nhu 'alana feçaa 'adaa el baruz el 'adheem!
Mr. Smith-No wonder Mr. Gharsiyya, this monument represents the essence of everything from what is of my understanding of the Moors. Comparable to other civilisations of Islam, it is henceforth of great prominence!
Sidi Gharsiyya-Ma'a dhaallaahi, ana nkun raajil eççelef! Haadha hayekun le Andalusee eshain, lekin nfeh'im h'isak!
Mr. Gharsiyya-God forbid, I am a man of boasting! This would be to an Andalusian a disgraceful thing, but I do understand your perception!
Sidi Smith-Sidi, ibellridj shlu el imukaatiyyah, enna law el Belediyyun aw ka 'nta tegul fe 'Araabiyya Fush'a el Magharabat kaanu yihr, el warith el Andalusiyya, enna el asar el Qalat el Ah'mar hayekun ektar ghair feqat khaznah le Khaleefah badlaa men zaak, el atbaa wi 'ilham le kull çanwaa fe Andalusiyya mujahida 'ind essila le maadeehom?

Mr. Gharsiyya-Honest to God, it would be of great dignity and importance to all. Behold, the Garden of the Architect praise be to Allah, we give thanks to Allah, that this garden you see, it is like a rainbow, very beautiful to see.
Sidi Smith-Nhu ka 'nta tegul Sidi! Kufwan le madan ekhairah fe Esbaanya, Gharnatah kaanat ao nhu el qelb el Andalus!
