Dawn first leaned in and looked at Faith’s eyes for a moment, then smiled and grabbed Faith's hands and put them behing her back... then Faith tucks Dawn's hair behind her ears and finally kissed her... it was such a different kiss... it was gentle, yet passionate enough... It was without any chance of doubt, the best kiss Dawn had gotten in her entire life... They were still in the middle of their long kiss when a little noise made them push each other away...

>Uhm!!!... it is certainly interesting what you can find on the streets at night nowadays... “Said a male voice behind them in a very sarcastic tone... when he realizes Dawn was kissing a girl on the park”.

>Shit! Xander... “Faith said recognizing the guy who said that”.

And she leaves mad and crying without direction. She leaves alone the other two that were still arguing.

For a minute, she considered running after her... but if she did so, Xander would go tell Buffy everything and no one was gonna be there to defend her... so she stayed and just looked at her girlfriend,who was going further and further away from them.

Faith pressed her fists together and glared at him... she was starting to get closer to Xander in order to hit him when she thought and said... >You know??? I know better than that... so I am gonna ignore what you just said.

But this time, and only this time I’ll go with you, but have on mind that I’m only doing it for Dawn... and I have my own feet so just don’t touch me.

I hear her calling me, but I just don’t answer... they are still arguing but most of what they say I can’t quite hear... how the fuck did he even find me or knew it was me... You know, it makes me fucking mad that I just can’t do anything at all because Buffy and her stupid gang will always gonna be there to screw it up... everything I do, absolutely everything is subordinated by what they want or think... the place I should work, the things I do... even the words I say... Damn it... it sucks big time, I feel like I am trapped and I am never gonna be able to live my life happily because Dawn Summers doesn’t exist... I’m always gonna be only the fucking shadow of Sunnydale’s most prominent celebrity “Buffy, the vampire slayer”. I so hate my life and I hate her... but it is kinda twisted cos I also love her and would give my life for her. And I know she is never gonna accept the fact that I crushed on her former friend Faith, on the other vampire slayer, on the one that is completely opposite to her... the one whose reputation was left so low after evertything she did. She is never gonna accept the fact that I like the one who betrayed her on the lowest way ever possible: trying to kill her, her friends and her mother... MY MOTHER!... this confuses me a lot.. I dunno if it is really convenient for me to be with her even if there is something so special about her that I am afraid I am not gonna find in anybody else ever... and well, also the fact that... >Oh God!! “she said when realization hit her”. Xander will probably take aFaith to the house so she can talk to Buffy, but Xander will tell his version and Faith the truth only that no one’s gonna believe her, I have to be ther fore her... she’s changed... and even if I don’t know her that well yet or for that long... even I can tell she is not evil... at least not now... “so she turned around and hurried to her house”.

Once she saw them.... she yelled “Faith!... wait up” cos she was too tired to keep on running. So she waited until she had the slayer’s attention which wasn’t real difficult to get considering the slayer hearing... So once Faith heard her, she and Xander waited for her and they three walked silently to Dawn’s house.

Xander was rehearsing what he was gonna tell Buffy once they got to the house.. he was saying to himself silently “Hey Buffster, look what I found” when something that broke the peaceful silence made both, Dawn and Xander jump up.

>Yo X!... “Faith said calmed”... you don’t say... hey Buffster look what I just found.. cos I ain’t no coin you find on the ground just when you happened to need some change...

>I...I... I don’t know how the hell you heard that

>Slayer hearing!... “The two girls said at the same time. Faith smirking at her ability and Dawn smiling because she was pleased se could guess what her girlfriend was going to say”.


Xander, without really knowing what to say, just lowered his head and looked at the ground half surprised and half confused.



The minutes on their way to Buffy’s seemed like hours to Faith who was finally gonna meet her all-times enemy... she had planned meeting her before of course... she warned her with the call the girl from jail did... but Dawn deleted it... and she also talked to Angel so he could ease a little the blonde’s bad temper... however now... it was all different, all of a sudden Faith found herself in her way to meet Buffy who for sure was not gonna dig her presence there. This time everything was against her.. first because Xander saw her... which was already a lot... but he saw her kissing Dawn, Buffy’s sister. Faith thought, and she was right when she thought that Buffy wouldn’t even let Dawn have a boyfriend. Knowing the slayer... that wasn’t really hard to picture. Now it was not just some boyfriend... it was a girlfriend... but not a girlfriend that was her age... but one older... but not only that... her girlfriend had tried to kill Buffy’s friends and mom on the past. Though she was kinda curious to see the reaction from the slayer once she heard everything Xander’s got to say. And then of course Dawn’s version... who, judging from the earlier one... she was probably gonna make such a scandal.

They were about to get to the house when Dawn tripped on a stone and fell down. Xander didn’t hear because he was a little far away from the two girls... Dawn wouldn’t let him stay closer... so he kept walking. But Faith did realize her girlfriend fell, so she stopped to help her. 

>Dawn? You ok??... “Faith said while helping the young girl getting up”.

>Yeah... yeah.. I am... “Said Dawn embarassed”. I just tripped on that stone “she said pointng it”.

Xander was now way ahead the other two because they were walking slow due to Dawn’s foot that still hurt a little and she was limping. So without even realizing he was the only one there, he opened Buffy’s door and found the slayer giving back to him, only wrapped in a towel with a bottle of shampoo on her right hand... she muttered something that sounded like “what the fuck is a bottle of shampoo doing in the kitchen”.


>Nice outfit Buffster! “Xander said trying to be funny.. but the slayer who got scared only reacted throwing the bottle to the one that talked”... OUCH!... sorry... I think that one came out wrong.

>Aw Xander it was you... shit you scared the hell out of me... don’t do it again... sorry if it hurt

>It’s ok... hey..... “and he thought what could be the best way to announce the slayer... but since he couldn’t find anything better, he said”.... look what I found!! “he said before realizing there was no one after him”.

>What is it?.... “the petite slayer said with expectation”.


Xander left the door wide open to give the slayer better sight



>are you fucking out of your mind or what????.... Don’t you see I am half naked damn it... how dare you open the door that way.... close it!.... “Buffy demanded”.

>But I... 

>Close it!

>Hm!... he closed the door, so that means that he don’t want me inside “Faith said turning around and starting to walk the other way when she realized Xander had closed the door”.


Dawn grabbed Faith’s arm and said >Faith!... come on.. we have to do this... you know it... you had to face her eventually

They were finally on Buffy’s Doorstep when Xander opened the door worried they were not behind him anymore, in the second he was opening the door a lot of ideas came to his mind. Faith perhaps took Dawn somewhere else and kidnapped her... or something happend like some demon attacking Dawn and Faith... he was really worried about what might have happened to Dawn... but when he finished openning the door and saw the two brunettes standing in from of him, he felt released. Dawn and Faith were still holding hands but Faith let go because she thought it was better if Buffy just didn’t see that image.... so that was it... they were right on Buffy’s doorstep... Faith hesitated a while but swallowed hard and encountered her destiny.
