"It does feel right, Faith"

"Really?"

"Yeah… I want to forgive you"

"But…?" I expect her next words with anxiety.

"There's no buts, I really want to Faith" 

she swallows hard and holds my hand nervously. She's sweating, I know this is not easy for her. I lock my eyes with hers without saying a word, she takes a deep breath, and finally manages to say "I… I forgive you Faith"

[Chapter 11]

[Buffy]


This moment seems to last for hours, but it is not uncomfortable long, I like it. I want to be like this for a long time. She's just looking at me, and I'm looking at her; none of us says anything, but words are not needed for what we want to say this time.

I feel a weird sensation through all my body that makes me really want to hug her, and kiss her, I want to feel her. I squeeze her hand without noticing, she makes a funny face, at which I laugh. She lets go of my hand, but never breaks the stare. She smiles lovingly. It had been really long since I saw this girl smile, evil grins and sarcastic smirks do not count. It had been really long. 

I take a deep breath and let it go slowly. "Faith?"

"hm?" 

"close your eyes" 

I blush, and she frowns, but a few seconds after, she obediently closes her eyes. I only stare at her for a moment. I have never done this, but I really, really want to, so I swallow, close my eyes as well, and lean in slowly.

My face is only an inch away from hers, I feel her warm breath tingling my lips. I start to breathe a little faster, I cup her face with both of my hands. She wants to open her eyes, but I stop her "Don't open them please"

"She sticks her eyelids together again, and I finally lean in to kiss…


*Phone rings*



We both jump up together, I let go of her and she opens her eyes, the phone continues ringing.

She starts laughing like crazy "That little device of yours, B, has perfect timing"

I start laughing myself as well, and reach it to answer "Hello?"

[Faith]


Now I know why technology sucks sometimes. I laugh at her, she looks frustrated. I know she had been making such an effort to kiss me because knowing the fact that she freaks out about almost everything, she would have been making a big deal out of me being a girl, and how it would be different, or if she would do it right, and bla bla bla.

I eavesdrop on her conversation, there's some girl talking, and it is not Red this time. 

"… so please, please, pretty please can I go?"

"Oh my God Dawn, are you calling long distance just for that?"


God I love her when she gets upset, there's something in her eyes and in her face that is so sexy. I swallow hard. This doesn't look that important, so I'll do it.

Really quick and by surprise, I lean in quickly and press my lips against hers, she doesn't push me away, that's a good sing. We move our lips a little and then I pull back, she looks a little disoriented now, but she doesn't get mad, she just smiles at me.

<…Buffy?>

"______"

<Buffy?!?!>

"huh? Uh… yeah… I'm here Dawnie"

<What are you doing Buffy?>

"Nothing" she frowns.

<You're not sucking on your teeth again, are you? I've already told you how yucky that sounds>

I laugh, and she just rolls her eyes and shakes her head slightly

She sounds a little upset now "I wasn't sucking on my teeth, Dawn" 

<then, what was that soun…> she squeals <OH MY GOD, you were kissing someone>

B blushes even more now and whines "I'm not kissing anybody"

<you're whining so…

"You know what? Go to your damn party"

<Thank you Buffy, I love you. I won't be late, I swear. Thank you, thank you, thank you>

"Geeze. Ok, don't come back home late"

<Ok, I won't, bye… and say hi to your new lover from me>

"Jesus Dawn I'm not… HEY! Do you want to go or not?"

<Ok, ok… I didn't say anything, I didn't hear anything>

"God, will you ever grow up Dawn"

<Uh… no! but thanks anyway. Bye!>




B hangs up the phone and laughs "GOD, what a sister I've gotten"

"I bet she says the same about you"

She rolls her eyes "But it's me the one who is right"

I frown, tying it all up in my mind "There's something I don't quite get though"

"What is it?"

"Cordelia told me you had a sister, and something about some key she used to play with. I honestly thought she was a baby, but she sounds kind of older. You never mentioned her before, is she your half sister"

There comes the puzzled face again, but she jokes "Uh no… she's more like my not-human sister"

I must be making a face right now, because she is looking at me weirdly "Huh?". I must have missed the funny part.

"It's a REALLY long story. I'll tell you about it later. Right now there's a little something I want to take care of"

I frown again "which is?"

"What we were about to do when we were interrupted"

I'm about to reply, but in the moment I open my mouth to talk, I feel her lips on mine, moving slowly. It's the most gentle kiss I've had in all my life, she's so soft and smooth. She rest her hands in my back, and I rest mine on her waist. We kiss without tongue at first because who knows it might get her uncomfortable, but eventually she alone shyly slides her tongue inside my mouth and plays with it. The kiss lasts quite long, and when we finally gasp for air, she breaks the embrace and looks away.

"You didn't like it?" I frown.

"Oh, I did, but did you like it?"

"Of course I did B, why wouldn't I?"

"I don't know, I had never kissed a girl before, and maybe I just sucked at it so muc..

it's so typical of her, I know she was freaking out. I lean in and give her a quick kiss again. "I loved it B"

She smiles at me, and we stare at each other for a while, until I suddenly scream "OH GOD"

"what, what, what is it?"

"I haven't eaten in the whole day. God I can't believe it."

"you scared the hell out of me, Faith"

"well, you SHOULD be scared. I could eat like a whole horse right now"

"Lucky the horses that don't leave near the train station then" she giggles.

"Wanna go eating?"

She looks as If she didn't know what to say. "Uh, actually Faith, I'm a little short of incomes right now"

"Come on, don't be silly. It's on me. I'm going to overload us with tons of food"

She makes a face "Uhm, actually…

"I'm joking B"

"Oh" she looks relieved.

"So, where do you wan…


*Phone rings*

I reach for my phone mad and snap "Oh my God, Dawn, I'm not kissing anybody, weren't you supposed to be at your damn party, anyways?"

"actually, Buffy, Dawn's at her party"

I open wide eyes. OH! I hurry back to apologize "I.. I'm sorry Wills, I thought it was Dawn again, I…

"It's ok Buffy, but there's a bit of a situation here"

"What is it? Tell me"

"Remember about the demon I told you about earlier"

"Yeah, you found out anything about him??"

"Well, yes, Giles thinks he's after you"

"Don't they have other things to do?"

"I'm not joking Buffy. He's gathering other demons and vampires together, apparently he has some hypnotizing power, so they obey his orders, and well I think you'll have to come back before he starts to do something. We're already following his tracks silently"

"Oh.. I…

"Tell Angel you'll help him some other time, or I don't know. This is serious"

"I.. I know Wills. Ok! I'll do something about it ok?"

"Are you going to come back?"

"Do I have any other choice?"

"Uh.. I

"It was rhetorical, Wills"

"Sorry"

"Talk to you soon ok?"

"ok"

B's phone rings again. Will that machine just stop ringing? By the voice I think it is Red this time. Yeah! It is Red. They're talking about the demon again, how fun. I just open the door of the car and sit on top of the trunk for a while, resting my back on the glass.

A few moments later B comes back, but there's something weird in her expression, I look at her eyes "You ok?"

"Yeah…"

"What was it?"

"have to go back to Sunnydale"

YOU WHAT?!?!?! My face shows my disappointment, but I try to hide it "Oh I..

"No you silly. You're so coming with me" she holds my hand and pulls me off the car
