BasicsIntroductionAs you may know, if you've played Blitzball already, your team's players have atributes that determine how good they shoot, pass, and tackle. General AtributesHit Points (HP): Every action your player makes during their time with the ball decrease the HP. That includes passing, shooting, and swimming. Speed (SP): Well, this is really self-explanitory ... the faster your players are, the harder it is for the opposing team to keep up with. This is a huge advantage in Blitzball. Salary: Unfortunately your team players need to get paid. As you'll find when recruiting players they require a contract, pretty much means their salary for how long you want them in this case. Level: Your player's experience level. When your level increase (which is almost every game) all your status points change, although, some points will not change (see player charts in the Player Charts section). Offensive AtributesEndurance (EN): Measured against the opposer's Attack (AT). The higher your endurance is the better chance you stand at breaking through the other team's defense. Pass (PA): Measured against the opposer's Block (BL). The higher your Pass is, the better chance you have at getting it past the opposing team and to where you want it to go. Shoot (SH): Also measured against the opposer's Block (BL) and the opposing goalie's Catch (CA). The higher this atributed is, the faster and better chance the ball has at getting past the goalie and making a goal. Defensive AtributesAttack (AT): Measured against the Endurance (EN). This is the stength of your player's tackle. The higher the atribute, the better chance you can stand at stopping a defender. Block (BL): Measured against Pass (PA) and Shoot (SH). Determines whether the opposer's ball gets past you. Catch (CA): Measured against Shoot (SH). This is only for goalies, the rest is self-explanitory. |
