So why do you think the show appeals to so many people? I think it’s the entertainment factor. I think sometimes that people just want to be entertained and watch a show that isn’t depressing or thought provoking. Sometimes people just want to laugh, and I think we do that well. And I think they are good role models for young girls.
How would you actually describe your character, Piper Halliwell? She’s you know, the middle sister. Very much the peacemaker. She’s always worried about something, always trying to fix something. Just a very busy girl.
What has been your favourite episode to make so far? I’d say the pilot – the first one. I just like it the best. But I also like one that’s called Awakened.
What is the finniest blooper that you can remember? We have bloopers every day. You could basically sell our gag for real money. Some of our funniest moments are bloopers. We usually bump into, drop or break something.
Is the exterior of the Halliwell House in the show real, or is it a set? No, it's an actual house at an indsclosed location.
Who spends most of the time in make-up getting their tattoos covered up? Alyssa has more than anyone, but I probably spend the most time because mine are on my wrists.
Do you get to keep all the cool clothes you wear on the show? No, we don't. We have the option to buy them for a reduced price if we want to. I think I'll have to renegotiate that part of my contract!
What is the strangest encounter you've had with a fan? Probably when I was in the restroom and someone shouted out that they loved my show! That was an interesting moment!
If you weren't an actor, what other profession would you have chosen? Actually, when I was in high school I wanted to be a marine biologist. I got a movie and that went out the window!
When did you start acting? My mum was originally the actress, and I kind of fell into it from being around her. I think I was 10. I did everything - commercials, print ads. I got my SAG card from being an extra in a movie. It was called 'Walls of Glass'.
Why do you use your middle name? Was there already a Holly Combs? No, it wasn't that. I was 10 years old when I got into SAG, so my mum kind of made the decisions, and she was really proud of my whole name. I never got around to changing it.
How did you get that scar on your eyebrow? When I was learning how to walk, I actually hit my head on a marble table. It was a nasty mark all the way across my forehead, but only the eyebrow scarred.
