Explanations
Slither Skin- Vaerun can make use of this ability, even without his colony present. This can allow him limited mobility without them. Very rarely would he use this if he has not already dispersed the colony.
MPD- at times, Vaeren is Vaeren, an ancient druid still practicing his heretical magic and worship of pagan spirits, but sometimes he is instead Swarm, the Hivemind of his colony. Then, he is emotionless and speaks in plural, such as "we" instead of "I".
Teledementia- Vaeren spends little time in cities, and so one might think that this is a cheap Taint to take, but Vaeren instead hears the spirits of nature he communes with/corrupts. They haunt him and tell him of his own corruption, making up for the lack of people.

Description
Vaeren appears as a gaunt, pale mam, with long white hair and red, bloodshot, sunken eyes. He appears to have seen better days. He almost always wears a robe and hood, and carries his staff.
Long ago, Vaeren upheld the old ways, traversing the forests and speaking with the spirits, both in his faerie life and his mundane one, but then one of those spirits tricked him, and he fell to it. For a long time he fended it off, but then, one day, he fell victim to a swarm of wasps, a swarm that his animal controlling abilities could not fend off. These wasps slayed him with their poison, and over time they consumed his flesh, transforming him into a fomor. Over time, his corruption grew, and where he once tended the forests he now poisoned them, and the people nearby, too. The spirits drove him mad with their insults of his corruption. Still, he stayed there, and goes between bouts of helping and harming those around him.
