Samus is predominantly Human, and indeed she did start life as an "average" woman. Early in her childhood, however, she was granted Chozo blood, seemingly to be able to operate their technology, and survive on the planet Zebes. Also, much more recently, she was injected with Metroid DNA, to stave off an X-Parasite. Still, to those who see her sans armor, Samus appears as a well-built human female. She has long, blonde hair, blue eyes, and a pale complexion. Most often, however, Samus is view with her armor suit. This armor is predominantly orange and yellow, although the orange part does becom purple at times. The top is capped with large shoulder orbs, and a green visor occasionally lets her eyes be seen by those outside. Her right arm is dominated by her integrated blaster cannon.

Special Qualities: Chozo-Enhanced Blood - Samus was augmented by the Chozo who raised her, adding their DNA to hers, to better enable her to live on the arid planet Zebes, as well as make use of their technology. Samus has a permanent +3 Strength and +2 Constitution. She also counts as being Chozo for any technology with a bioscan that requires it.
Metroid DNA - Recently, Samus was the victim of an X-Parasite, the creatures metroids were originally created to destroy. Only an injection of metroid DNA, which is immune to X-parasitism, saved her life. Now, she has been permanently altered. Like the metroids, she can regenerate (Regeneration 2), but, like the metroids, she is very vulnerable to cold. If exposed to extreme cold without proper gear, she immediately suffers a -2 penalty to initiative. Ten minutes of exposure causes a temporary reduction of -2 to all abilities. After 20 minutes of exposure, Samus must roll a Fortitude save (DC 15). Success means she maintains consciousness and suffers no damage. If the save fails, Samus suffers an additional -2 penalty to all ability scores. Further exposure means another Fortitude save every 10 minutes; the DC increases by +4 each time. If Samus's Constitution is reduced to zero, she dies. Once returned to a warm environment, if she has not already died, she will fully recover (regains all lost ability points) after 30 minutes. Also, any cold-based attacks deal double damage. Samus's suit is adequate protection, as long as it is operational.
Standard Attack Method: As varied as her opponents might be. Samus is a warrior, no question, but she will not fight if a simpler solution exists. If she must fight, she is packing more than enough firepower to devastate most forces. Her armor will also likely carry her through most any problem, be it environment or personal.
Minions: Samus could likely be a very capable leader, but she works alone overall.
Chozo Battle Armor: This potent armor was created by the Chozo, a race of ancient, advanced bird people. It has many integrated systems, and the ability to be upgraded in the field.

Arm Cannon: Samus's primary offensive weapon, the power cannon has a number of variable settings, to better deal with unexpected surprises, and it can also fire missiles and a grappling beam.

BEAM VARIANTS
Samus's arm cannon has had various upgrades made to it. Any, or all of these settings can be used, and in conjunction, unless it says so, below.
High Jump Boots: +10 equipment bonus to Jump checks.
Speed Booster: At full power, Samus can reach upwards of 200 mph with the Speed Booster. While it is operating, she also inflicts 10d8 damage to anything she impacts, allowing her to plow through enemies and obstructions. Sharp turns, you say? You have got to be kidding.

Morphing Ball: The mechanics of the Morphing Ball, also known as the Maru Mari, are still a mystery. This device, made by the Chozo, the ones who also made the Battle Armor, allows Samus to transform into a roughly 1-foot diameter ball shape. While in this mode, most of Samus's other equipment does not operate, but it is necessary for the use of bombs. An integrated Spring Ball allows for jumping in ball-mode, while an integrated Spider Ball allows for clinging to various surfaces (gain climb speed equal to regular speed).
