Horned Harbinger

(Prestige Class)

During the Time of Troubles.

Requirements:
To qualify to become a Wearer of Purple (Wop), the character must meet the following criteria.
Alignment: Any evil.
Skills: Knowledge (the planes) 8 ranks.
Patron: Myrkul.
Special: The character must have touched thew Crown of Horns at least once since the Time of Troubles.

Class Skills: The wearer of purple's class skills are Alchemy (Int), Concentration (Con), Craft(Int), Knowledge (Int), Profession (Wis), Scry (Int), Search (Int), Spellcraft (Int), Spot (Int).

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Wearers of purple gain no proficiency in any weapon or armor.

Skill Points per level: 2 + Int modifier

CLASS FEATURES

All of the following are class features of the Ringmaster prestige class.

Bone Horns (Ex): Each time the character gains a level of wearer of purple, he gains additional spell slots and casting ability as if going up a level in his original class. If he has more than one spellcasting class, he must choose which class this benefits. No other level-dependant benefits are gained or affected.

Rebuke Undead (Su): Upon adopting the wearer of purple class, the character gains a resistance 5 to one type of energy (commonly acid, cold, electricity, or fire), as described in chapter 3 of the DMG. Most characters choose a resistance to the type of energy embodied by the dragon or dracolich they attend or expect to attend. at 3rd level and 5th level, the energy resistance increaes to 10 and 15, respectively.

General of Undeath (Su): At 10th level, a horned harbinger's limit for controlling undead animated with spells increases to 10 times her caster level. His limit for undead controlled throuh the use of his command undead increases 5 times his effective caster level.

The Crown of Horns

(Fear aura as a lich, SR 25 vs necromantic spells and effects, rebuke or command undead as a 6th-level cleric, teleport without error once per tenday; only self and equipment, Cone of Undeath: 1/10 minutes; 40 ft cone; Fort save DC 20 or be slain; rise 1d4 rounds later as wratihs under command of wearer; Fort save success deals 3d6+20 damage; is a necromantic death effect, Myrkul's Hand: 1/day; black flames cover one hand which is treated as a touch spell; successful melee touch attack requires Fort save (DC 20) or be slain; rise 1d4 rounds later as a spectreunder control of wearer; Fort save success deals 2d8+10 points of damage; is a necromantic death effect, alignment change to NE, cannot be removed except by Myrkul, Crown can use suggestion 1/day on wearer, can possess wearer for up to 20 minutes per day as if using magic jar spell, transform into undead, paranoid and possessive toward the Crown, all beings within 100 ft of the Crown while are affected by a sympathy spell.
