(1) DM: Village: Saltmarsh is a small fishing village on the Sword coast, some 50 miles south of Daggerford.
There are only about a dozen buildings, including an inn, "The Old Seadog" , a general store, and a church/meeting hall.
The village lies a couple of hundred foot from the rocky shore line. A pier has been build, and catamaran fishing boats can be seen tied up.

(1) DM: Seadog: The Seadog is a small Inn.
A roaring fire is ever burning , there are a few tables and benches. And sawdust covers the rough floor.
The barkeep and owner is Sam Borne , a thin man with a friendly smile.
There is food and drink avaialble, And there are rooms for rent , above the stable, which can be found next door.

(5) The Sparrow: ((dm where actually is Dagger ford...i couldnt find it on the map??))
(2) Vincent Voss (whispering): Are we in the Inn or ariving at it...?
(1) DM: south of waterdeep, before you get to baldurs gate
(5) The Sparrow: ((ok))
whispering to Vincent Voss, in the inn
(7) Vadim: ((Ah, I thought it was much further South than that))
** (2) Vincent Voss Relaxes by the fire warming his hands over it before turning back to the table to order some stew **
(5) The Sparrow: ((so saltmarsh is near Baldurs gate?))
(1) DM: ((no its near waterdeep,, about 200 miles. Baldurs gate is more like 600 miles))
(5) The Sparrow (whispering): Ok...
(8) Hador (whispering): ((just so you know - Hador will not be drunk this time :) ))
(5) The Sparrow (whispering): Still can not find it on the map...
(9) Matt Williamson: (I got a link to the map holdon )
(1) DM: ((can you see a river running into a marsh on your map, just below waterdeep?))
** (2) Vincent Voss lowers his hood and runs a rough hand through his raven black hair his emerald eyes scanning the Inn taking in the various people **
(5) The Sparrow: ((yes))
(1) DM: ((There))
(1) DM: ((daggerfors, is on the ford of that river))
(9) Matt Williamson: (http://www.geocities.com/terteran/Donpath.gif)
(9) Matt Williamson: (the northwest end of my trail)
(5) The Sparrow: ((lizard marsh , right..ok))
(1) DM: ((thats the one, saltmarsh is to the south of the marsh, on the coast))
(1) DM: ((everybody ready to go?))
** (7) Vadim sits in a chair watching the fire which glints in his pale blue eyes. The young, blonde haired man wears a wide brimmed black hat, a white, collarless shirt under a black waistcoat and a cloak, which presumably is his, lies nearby covering several objects the largest of which is a scythe. **
(7) Vadim: ((I haven't got the map))
(5) The Sparrow: ((yes...thanks for the map explain))
(8) Hador: ((yeah - ready))
(9) Donavan Perow: ((READY))
(7) Vadim (whispering): Obviously because Daggerford is nNorth of Baldur's gate I will have been fleeing North, rather than fleeing South, badly))
(1) DM: ((can, everybody give descriptions of themselves))
** (7) Vadim sits in a chair watching the fire which glints in his pale blue eyes. The young, blonde haired man wears a wide brimmed black hat, a white, collarless shirt under a black waistcoat and a cloak, which presumably is his, lies nearby covering several objects the largest of which is a scythe. **
whispering to Vadim, :)
(8) Hador: tall well-built human with short cropped blond hair and emerald-green eyes sits alone in the corner - his eyes fixed upon an empty flagon of ale. He wears a tarnished though reasonably well maintained set of chainmail, and a huge sword rests against the wall off to his side.
** (9) Donavan Perow has his cowl of his cloak pulled low overhis head and is peering deeply into a book on the side of the fire **
(7) Vadim: ((fire hazard))
** (5) The Sparrow opens the door of the inn and enters....you see: Sparrow Is 3'2 feet tall (90 cm) and about 35 pound (16 kg) heavy. At first he appears to look like a very cute 8 year old human child. But at second look you can see he is a young halfling. His hair is red brown fashioned in wild spikes. His eyebrows are also red and thick, and so are his sideburns. His eyes are bright green and on his cheeks there are numerous sun spots. All in all his face looks cheerfull and considerably cute (to member of other race). He is quite athleticaly build, not to thin or to fat and his agility and vitallity is similar to one of a human child. **
** (2) Vincent Voss leans back in his chair smiling at the Innkeep and ordering a meal **
(1) DM: as the innkeeper brings vincent a meal of fish stew
(1) DM: Corporal Stoutly: A Stout man wearing chain mail and a long sword, marches into the Seadog. Looks over the occupants and annouces "I'm Corporal Stoutly, Saltmarsh Militia comander. I'm looking for a few volunteers to help the Militia. One of local men, Ned shakeshaft is missing. And we need someone to go invistigate The Old house on the point."
The corporal looks the player characters over waiting for a response.

** (8) Hador jumps to attention, a flicker of excitement in his eyes - that quickly dies away as he introduces himself (in a strong Cormyrian accent) as Hador Morgen. **
** (2) Vincent Voss eats the stew looking at the man,..."You militia man went missing at an old house..?" **
** (1) Corporal Stoutly "Good man, glad to have you aboard" clapping Hador on the shoulder **
(9) Donavan Perow: If you were to look closely you could see that Donavan had pale blue eyes with sandy blond hair. He wears the sign of Ilmater around his neck, it is the form of 2 hands bound by cord. The apears to be in almost a trance when he is reading and almost oblivious to his surroundings.
(2) Vincent Voss: "I suppose I could help out,..My name is Vincent.."
** (7) Vadim looks up at the sound of the corporal and seems to reach for something under the cape, but is stopped as he listens to the words. His muscles visibly relax. **
** (2) Vincent Voss nods to the Head of the Militia **
(5) The Sparrow: ((Grrr i have problem with my desc...wait a minute...))
(1) Corporal Stoutly: "Good, thats two. What about you others?"
(9) Donavan Perow: "You need the services of a. . . a . . Volunteer?"
** (2) Vincent Voss finishes up his stew not wanting to let it get cold.. **
(9) Donavan Perow: "I am Donavan Painbearer of Ilmater, at your service."
(1) Corporal Stoutly: "Aye, volenteers, priest"
** (7) Vadim tries to appear to not have heard the corporal. **
** (9) Donavan Perow goes in to a deep bow placing his book behind his back. **
(5) The Sparrow: Text: Sparrow Is 3'2 feet tall (90 cm) and about 35 pound (16 kg) heavy. At first he appears to look like a very cute 8 year old human child. But at second look you can see he is a young halfling. His hair is red brown fashioned in wild spikes. His eyebrows are also red and thick, and so are his sideburns. All in all his face looks cheerfull and considerably cute (to member of other race). He is quite athleticaly build, not to thin or to fat and his agility and vitallity is similar to one of a human child.
He wears old worn out travellers clothes with many pockets and compartments, and over
them a studded leather armor that have seen a lot of action.Over all this he wears
dusty gray cloak with a picture of the crest. On it you see a shield with a oak
leaf and sparrow.

** (2) Vincent Voss eyes shift to the priest his mind trying to remember what Ilmater is the God of.. **
(1) Corporal Stoutly: "Right thats three. What about you Blondie, you look as if you can use that scythe?"
(7) Vadim (whispering): I'm sure you said that last time too :))
whispering to Vadim, i think i did :)
** (5) The Sparrow walks tdown to the bar and peers over...."Hullo...Mister,Can i get a mug ov Water??" **
** (7) Vadim looks up again. "Me sir?" he asks meekly. "It's more of a walking aid than anything else." **
** (9) Donavan Perow rummages around in his pack and pulls out something, mumbles to it a bit, puts it awan and is now staring intently at the Corpral. **
(1) Corporal Stoutly: "Well three ain't enough. So if you not going to volenteer. You can be drafted!"
** (8) Hador casts a disaproving glance at the rest of the patrons for not volunteering **
** (7) Vadim appears to consider the option, then stands. "Volunteering it is," he says, all trace of humility vanished. **
(1) Sam the barkeep: asks sparrow "Ain't you a bit young, to be out by yourself, or are you one of them halflings?"
** (2) Vincent Voss whispers to Donovan..."What is Ilmater the God of...?" **
** (5) The Sparrow inpatiently waits for his water... **
** (7) Vadim fixes his cape and hefts his scythe into one hand, keeping the other behind his back under the cape. **
** (9) Donavan Perow whispers back to Vincent. "He is the patron god of Suffering. I take it upon my self to suffer for the weak and defencles." **
** (5) The Sparrow nods "Indeed sir, i be a halfling...aye..but a damn thirsty one too!" **
** (1) Corporal Stoutly notices sparrow, at the bar "Well what about you halfling, you going to volenteer, or be drafted?" **
(2) Vincent Voss: *Mops up the last of his stew with a peice of bread and pays the Inkeep
** (5) The Sparrow turns around "Sorry sirs...volounteer for what?" **
** (2) Vincent Voss looks back at Donovan and nods...contemplating what kind of person would take it upon themselves to be such a priest **
(1) Corporal Stoutly: "Searching the house on the point"
(5) The Sparrow: "Is it Dangerous?"
** (2) Vincent Voss nods to Hardor **
(9) Donavan Perow: "I fear no dangers you are safe with us!"
** (1) Sam the barkeep gets sparrow a small mug of water **
** (5) The Sparrow takes the mug and drinks thirstly ... **
(1) Corporal Stoutly: "Probably not, but you never know"
** (8) Hador collects his huge sword and stands tall beside Corporal Stoutly. **
(2) Vincent Voss: "Was he investigating some crime at the old house Corporal...?
(9) Donavan Perow: "A man is missign good sir. Any help would be grand and you look quite compitent."
(5) The Sparrow: "Well i was hoping for something more challenging...but I would join. If you pay a coin for it?"
(1) Corporal Stoutly: "Right its still light outside. When you've checked out the house. Report back to me. I'll be here, or inthe meeting hall"
(9) Donavan Perow: "Sir wait!
** (9) Donavan Perow throws his hand up and hails the corpral. **
** (2) Vincent Voss raises his eyebrow in question **
** (8) Hador shakes his head at the halflings comment "There is a young lad missing and no doubt some mischeif afoot - and all you can think about is money young sir?! **
** (1) Corporal Stoutly turns to vincent and replies "is grandmother, said he was always talking about it. So it needs searching, in case he went in there" **
(9) Donavan Perow: "How do we get to the House? Do ye have a map or directions?"
** (2) Vincent Voss gathers his belongings and sets himself up for the task ahead **
** (2) Vincent Voss Nods to the Corporal "Very well" **
(5) The Sparrow: "Well, i was on my way to Waterdeep to meed an old friend...and honestly speaking...I havent got money even for an ale....So a fair pay for risking my head would be a few coins...Dont you think sir?"
** (1) Corporal Stoutly at the priests question the corporal replies"You can see the coast from the door. The house is on the point , less than a mile away" **
(9) Donavan Perow: "Aye thank ye good man."
(1) Corporal Stoutly: "Well how about we just throw you in jail , young halfling, for ordering food, without paying for it"
** (5) The Sparrow loughs..."I ordered water? Would you throw me in jail fer that?" **
** (9) Donavan Perow retruns to where he was sitting by the fire and gathers all his belongings back into his pack. He pulls off his cloak and folds it to place it into his pack. Upon taking off the cloak you see a wonerful set of Scale mail upon his back with the symbol of Ilmater on the garb approiatly. **
(1) Corporal Stoutly: "You going up to that house, you can volenteer or be drafted, but your going. Halfling"
** (2) Vincent Voss heads to the door and looks out to the point **
** (9) Donavan Perow removes his morningstar from his pack and places it carefully into his belt and calmly strolls back to meet up with the others. **
(5) The Sparrow: "Sheesh...remind me never to visit this village again!!!"
whispering to Vincent Voss, to the south, you can see a point of land stretching out to sea
(8) Hador: "Well it looks like you will be joining us then master halfling!"
** (7) Vadim walks off towards the point. **
(2) Vincent Voss: "Allright I see it we might as well make our way there while it is still light"
** (8) Hador offers an outstreached hand to the halfling and says "My appologies - we all seek our own rewards in one way or another - forgive my outburst, but I will ask no payment for such a task as it is but the right thing to do!" **
(2) Vincent Voss: "INkeep can we have a few torches.."
** (5) The Sparrow shrugs..."Well what the heck...lets help that poor boy!" **
** (9) Donavan Perow walks over to Sparrow, and puts his hand lightly on his shoulder "Fear not, I am here with you along with oter compitent people, you will be safe." **
** (1) Sam the barkeep "i have two you can have" handing vincent two torches **
(2) Vincent Voss: "I thank theee Sir"
** (5) The Sparrow laughs and bows "Thanks for care sir...but i am quite capable of taking care fer me selves!" **
** (2) Vincent Voss hands one of the torches to the others **
** (8) Hador questions the corporal as to how long the boy has been gone **
(9) Donavan Perow: "Where did that other one head off to so fast?"
(1) Corporal Stoutly: "Be at least a day, maybe two. He was last seen two days ago"
(8) Hador: "Thank you master Stoutly - no doubt to sooner we set off - the sooner we will find him"
(9) Donavan Perow: "Well shal we head out?"
** (8) Hador nods in agreement **
(9) Donavan Perow: "Right! Lets be off."
** (5) The Sparrow shrugs "Well ... we are rushed of to do it anyway...so..." **
(1) DM: the seagulls squaw as you leave the inn. You can feel the wind, as it blows off the sea
** (8) Hador steps out of the inn after retriving his backpack and sheathing his massive sword upon his back **
** (9) Donavan Perow at the door bows his head and mumbles something, makes a hand jesture and heads out into the day. **
** (2) Vincent Voss starts tredding towards the point **
** (5) The Sparrow looks at the others and says "Well at least i can do is to introduce my self to you sirs..." **
(9) Donavan Perow: "What happen to the fifth of our party?"
(9) Donavan Perow: "Sorry young one, what is your name?"
** (5) The Sparrow bows elegantly and says "My name is Milo Oakleaf....But people call me The Sparrow. I am a travelling adventurer. At your service sirs!" **
whispering to Vadim, still there?
(7) Vadim (whispering): Yup.
(9) Donavan Perow: "I am Donavan, Painbearer of Ilmater."
(9) Donavan Perow: "Good to meet you young sir."
** (5) The Sparrow bows..."My peasure!" **
(8) Hador: "well met" Hador says - offering an outstreached hand to each party member in turn
(9) Donavan Perow: "Now where did that other gentalman go. . . .?"
** (9) Donavan Perow takes his hand and shakes it vigerously. **
(2) Vincent Voss: (( I should be visible to the rest I hope ))
** (2) Vincent Voss turns waiting for the others **
(2) Vincent Voss: "HMnnn wonder if the lad fell down and got injured.."
(8) Hador: "I am Hador Morgen hailing from Cormyr - it is a pleasure to meet you!"
(9) Donavan Perow: "Good sir what is your name?" (facing Vincent)
** (5) The Sparrow smiles **
** (7) Vadim , having left first, is some distance ahead of the group. He shows no sign of waiting for them to catch up. **
(2) Vincent Voss: "My name is Vincent Vincent Voss, a woodsman .."
(8) Hador: "Well I think it would be prudent to be on our way now - and catch up with our somewhat eager colleague"
(9) Donavan Perow: "Cormyr?" looking in awe "You are welcome at my side in the face of evil any day, I have heard of many great things from the Metropolis."
(2) Vincent Voss: "I don't really have any fancy titles...as of yet..."
** (8) Hador poits in Vadim's direction and begins to head off toward the point **
(8) Hador: **points
(5) The Sparrow: "A woodsman... I am woodsman by proffesion too...Well i used to be...During the Thethyr war..."
** (2) Vincent Voss follows along "Oh Yes, I as well have heard of Cormyr is it really as grand as rumors say..?" **
(9) Donavan Perow: "Well woodsmens let us be on our way"
** (2) Vincent Voss turns and nods to the Sparrow.... **
** (5) The Sparrow smiles **
(8) Hador: "many great things aye!" he mumbles under his breath as he trudjes onward
** (9) Donavan Perow finishes his statement lifts his chin and walks firmly towds the house that he was directed twords. **
(1) DM: A wagon is coming down the path at a pretty quick speed, towards the village
** (5) The Sparrow turns and watch the wagon with interest **
** (8) Hador steps forward and attempts to hail the wagon **
** (7) Vadim hails the wagon driver. **
(1) DM: the wagon pulls to a stop by Vadim
(9) Donavan Perow: "Quickly, there could be trouble"
whispering to Vadim, "Yo"
** (9) Donavan Perow picks up speed to meet up with the rest of the party. **
(7) Vadim (whispering): "Greetings, sir. I don't suppose I could persuade you to turn this wagon around and drive me out of this backwater berg?"
whispering to Vadim, "Well i would if the price we're right , what you offering?"
(2) Vincent Voss (exit): 20:09
(9) Donavan Perow: ((Doh))
(17) Vincent Voss (enter): 20:09
(17) Vincent Voss (whispering): Sorry was booted offline
Attempting to assign the role of PLAYER to (17) Vincent Voss...
(7) Vadim (whispering): ((Hmmm, on checking my character sheet, apparently, nothing.))
** (9) Donavan Perow gets to the Wagon and slows a bit. . . **
** (8) Hador steps up to the wagon driver and speaks "Sorry to cause you any inconveniance my good man - but may we ask you a question or two?" **
** (17) Vincent Voss holds back a bit watching **
** (9) Donavan Perow looks at the wagons contents and passanges. . . (what do I see?) **
** (7) Vadim notices the others drawing closer and shakes his head. "Never mind," he replies to an undheard question by the driver. **
(1) Wagon driver: "Next big town south of here's Baldurs gate. And thats a distance." he says to vadim
** (9) Donavan Perow scratces his head with the content of what seemed like an answer to a question. **
(1) Wagon driver: turns to Hador "What can i do for ye?"
(8) Hador: "be you headed from the house on the point?"
(8) Hador: "or passed near to it?"
(1) Wagon driver: "nay, i wouldn't go anywhere near the haunted house. I've just come from the caravan bacj on the trade road"
** (9) Donavan Perow whispers to Vadim "You should wait for us good sir. Safety in numbers." He says winking at Vadim **
(9) Donavan Perow: "Haunted? THere was no mention of that."
** (7) Vadim looks to Donovan. "I have found the opposite," he replies flatly. **
** (9) Donavan Perow seems to lift his head higher at the mention of "haunted" **
** (17) Vincent Voss reaches into his belt pouch and pulls out 10 coins handing them to Sparrow "Just so a fellow woodsman doesn't go without.." **

(8) Hador: "Lad or not - he may still be in trouble!"
** (9) Donavan Perow feels a bit uncertain of the whole situation with every passing comment. New "fact" seem to surface with every contact that is spoken to. . . He bows his head and mumbles a few words to his god asking for guidance **
(1) Wagon driver: "I know the olde haunted house is supposed to have a horde of gold hidden in there somewhere. But if your going to stir up the gosts. i'm getting out of here"
(9) Donavan Perow: Donavan Perow casts Guidance ( level 0, "+1 on one roll, save, or check" )

(1) DM: the path to the house runs around to the south of the house
(17) Vincent Voss: "That sword of yours looks heavy,...Sir Hardor"
(1) DM: this close to the cliffs, the wind gusts and pulls at you
(7) Vadim: "You may," Vadim replies. "It is Vadim."
(5) The Sparrow: ((what is the time of the day??))
(8) Hador: "Aye, heavy and cumbersome in the wrong hands!"
(1) DM: (3pm)
(1) DM: The House:

The Haunted House stands on the cliff top 70 feet above sea level and about 80 feet from the cliff edge. The 6' high stone wall surrounding the garden has partially collapsed in a number of places, so access to any part of the garden is simple even if the main gate on the cliff road is ignored. This gate, of a heavy and ornate metal construction, is still functional and stands open. The garden itself is overgrown and shows no sign of any care for years. However, any part of the garden and the main earth driveway can be easily traversed.

** (9) Donavan Perow pats his Morningstar at his side, but is more cautious to hold his holy symbol and mumble. **
** (17) Vincent Voss pulls his cloke tighter to ward of the wind **
(1) DM: (i've sent you all a link with a picture of the party and the house)
(8) Hador: ((cool))

(1) DM: no lights are visable
whispering to Hador, nothing
** (9) Donavan Perow looks around at the rundown house, mumbles a bit more and you can see his knuckles turning white from griping his symbol. **
(5) The Sparrow: =Taking 10 Spot= 15
whispering to The Sparrow, you don't make spots roll, the DM does
** (9) Donavan Perow looks for any holy/unholy symbols on the building. **

(5) The Sparrow (whispering): Aha...Even better than...taking 10 in search 17
(17) Vincent Voss: [1d20+4] -> [4,4] = (8)
(8) Hador: "superstition runs rife in many a backwater village - though not all completly ficticious"
** (17) Vincent Voss searches around the garden and looks for signs of footprints **
whispering to The Sparrow, and where are you searching?
** (9) Donavan Perow pats Hador's shoulder "I agree" **
** (7) Vadim walks up to the front door. **
whispering to Vincent Voss, you find nothing
(5) The Sparrow (whispering): I am looking from afar at the house area...For any sign of movement
** (9) Donavan Perow raises a hand to Vadim "WAIT!" **

(17) Vincent Voss: "I see no tracks leading to or from this place...least not the tracks of a boy Neds sive
** (17) Vincent Voss eyes snap to Donovan when he shouts **

** (17) Vincent Voss nods **
(17) Vincent Voss: "Allright
whispering to Vadim, you find no traps, the door looks old and unused
** (17) Vincent Voss looks around the garden quickly to see if anything out of the ordainary can be found **
(17) Vincent Voss: [1d20+4] -> [10,4] = (14) Wilderness lore
** (9) Donavan Perow walks at Vincents side, trying to act proud with his chin in the air. **

** (9) Donavan Perow turns towards Vincent looking at him with concern. **

** (5) The Sparrow puts the finger on his mouth showing others to be quiet. **
(1) DM: Entrance: The front door opens onto a musty, dirty entrance hall. To your left a corridor leads into the west wing of the house. On either side of the corridor opening the walls are bare but some pieces of wood in the corner near the window indicate that a small wooden table or chair once stood there. Ahead of you, another corridor leads towards the rear of the house. To your right a staircase climbs to the next storey, reaching it at a balcony which overlooks the hall along its north and west sides; the stairs appear safe to climb though the balcony rail is broken in several places. Under the stairs at the rear of the hall a third corridor leads east.

(9) Donavan Perow: ((What time of day is it. YOu said 3pm when we were outside the house))
** (17) Vincent Voss opens the door to the north **
(1) DM: Kitchen:
This was obviously the kitchen. It is dirty and damp, with patches of grey mould and a few cobwebs on the floor, walls and ceiling. In the corner to your left is some iron cooking equipment with a chimney above. Next to it, under the window, is a cracked and discoloured stone sink. To the right of the sink a small, closed wooden cupboard is fixed to the wall about 5' above floor level. Against the far wall a flight of wooden stairs leads upwards from left to right; even from the door it is obvious that the woodwork is decayed and a few of the treads are missing.
Room is 20' by 20' door in the east end of the north wall. And a door in the east wall.
Stairs up the north wall. A window in the west wall.

(1) DM: (time is coming up to 4pm))
** (26) Vadim walks in and looks around. **

(9) Donavan Perow: "You want me to toss you up there little man?
(26) Vadim: ((No, it was 3))
whispering to Donavan Perow, you find nothing of any interest
(5) The Sparrow (whispering): Simon could you send me always the text node of the room ? If you please?
** (27) Hador strolls over to the cupboard and attempts to pry it open (at a safe distance) with the tip of his sword. **
whispering to The Sparrow, i'll try
(9) Donavan Perow: ((Is there an Oven?))
** (9) Donavan Perow looks in the sink **
(1) DM: there is an over in the sw corner
(26) Vadim: "I believe I could make it," Vadim says. He takes a few steps back and then runs and vaults upwards to the top of the stairs.
** (5) The Sparrow looks up the stairs...."You think it would be a smart idea?? Tossing??" **

(26) Vadim (whispering): Oh, you sneaky bugger
(9) Donavan Perow: "Ahhh, I thougt that you looked familiar."
whispering to Vadim, what :)
(9) Donavan Perow: "Good jump too."
** (17) Vincent Voss listens in on that odd conversation **
** (9) Donavan Perow continues on his path to the oven, opens it and peers in. **
(9) Donavan Perow: Search Skill Check: [1d20+1] -> [3,1] = (4)
** (5) The Sparrow nods with smile "That was quite a jump..indeed!" ... "But look behind you!" **
(1) DM: the old oven creaks when opened
(26) Vadim: "Thank you," he replies and opens the door at the top of the stairs.
(9) Donavan Perow: "You know I DO have some rope, but no one asked about that."
whispering to Vadim, Landing: Along the north wall of this area a staircase descends to ground floor of the rear of the house. The treads appear to be insecure.

Another staircase along the east wall climbs to the upper level. This has mostly collapsed - only the lowest six steps are still intact and there is no easy access to the hole in the ceiling to where the staircase used to lead. A heap of rotten timber lies in the northeast corner.

There is a window on the west wall

(5) The Sparrow: "Well could you go up?"
** (9) Donavan Perow closes the oven and turns away. **
(9) Donavan Perow: "there are safer stairs up.
whispering to Vadim, and a corridor on the west side. you could try a standing jump, but no run up
(5) The Sparrow: "Safe is not always the best...."
(26) Vadim: "There is a corridor to the west here. Throw me a rope and I will tie to something so you may climb up."
(5) The Sparrow: "OK!"
(26) Vadim: "Then I will try a jump."
** (9) Donavan Perow takes off his pack and rummages around for some rope. **

(5) The Sparrow: "Noo need to remove the armor...nor for all to climb..."
** (9) Donavan Perow whilstles at the jump. **
whispering to Vadim, Attic: A gaping hole in the floor shows where the top of the staircase used to lead before its collapse. There are grimy cobwebs on the walls and ceiling and the floor is liberally strewn with dust and rubbish.

(26) Vadim (whispering): This is the wrong one to get hig, isn't it?

whispering to Hador, Vincent Voss, Scullery: This room has suffered the effects of damp and decay more than most in the house. Mould grows in patches on the floor, walls and ceiling; there are many cobwebs, though even these appear to be decaying. A large copper boiler, dented, split, discoloured and empty, stands under the window; a small heap of crockery shards is on the floor beside it. Stairs lead down into the darkness of what is presumably a cellar.
Room is 15' by 20' Door in the west wall. Stairs down against the east wall. A window on the north wall.

(26) Vadim: "It's an attic up here," he calls back down.

** (17) Vincent Voss puts the bow away and pulls our his long and short sword **
whispering to Donavan Perow, you see and find nothing
** (27) Hador listens for a reply **
whispering to Vincent Voss, make a will save pls
** (9) Donavan Perow repeats himself louder while scanning "I am Donavan Perow - Pain Bearer of Ilmater - Defeander of Weak - Cleric of Caradoon - Bearer of the Winters of Snowflake Mt. where are you voice?" **
** (17) Vincent Voss still tries to steady his nerves from the chilling ghost scream **
(17) Vincent Voss: [1d20] -> [4] = (4)
(5) The Sparrow: "Wait...Maybe Donovan would be succesfull?"
** (9) Donavan Perow is still griping his morning star and his holy symbol **
whispering to Vincent Voss, you don't feel brave enough to go looking for the voice
(17) Vincent Voss: "I can't...I can't bring myself to search for that voice..."
** (9) Donavan Perow closes his eyes and begins to pray to Ilmater seeking help in locating the spirit. . . **
** (5) The Sparrow turns to Donovan...could you shine some light down?" **
** (17) Vincent Voss lowers his head dissapointed in himself **
(9) Donavan Perow: ((What can I roll for that?))
** (27) Hador waits for a while and then states somewhat defiantly "I am going down there - if that is Ned he may need help!" **
** (17) Vincent Voss heads into the kitchen and slumps down **
** (9) Donavan Perow looks at Sparrow, mumbles and then . . . **
(9) Donavan Perow: Donavan Perow casts Light ( level 0, "Object shines like a torch" )
** (5) The Sparrow frowns "Shine some light down...I will go check it out" **
** (17) Vincent Voss rocks back and fourth in the kitchen shivering **
(5) The Sparrow: ((what did you make shine? Hopefully not the rogue lol))
** (9) Donavan Perow pulls the symbol from his neck and thrusts his hant holding it ahead of him and LIGHTED symbol guides the way as he descends the stairs. **
whispering to Vadim, you find a lot of old clothes, furtinture and bric abrac, but nothing of value
** (27) Hador steps onto the first step and follows - weapon at the ready **
(9) Donavan Perow: ((*the LIGHTES symbol))
