It has come to my attention that some of the videos being posted on this site may not have sufficient enough content to warrant them "Nautilus". To that I say...
Props to Da Phezman. I won't even waste my time trying to appeal to his l337ness; it'd be like trying to make a sport out of throwing cd's, though they almost work like a frisbee, they're just not up to par, and like anything, quickly lose their appeal. Thanks to him, the video for nonsense is now
online. For those of you who haven't seen it, go see it now, for those that have, well now you can watch it over and over in complete amazment.

Part One.
Yeah, I know it's old, but its kinda classy, kinda funny. Plus the 2nd part will have similar methods, so you best get aqainted. And when I say
methods, I mean
your methods, because I'm not going to follow any plan, other than a song maybe, but then again a song has a structure.
If you can get anything from this message, read "Season 1 = in the
videos section. Season 2 = Going to be filmed in sping."

Dialect is not always the most comprehendable. At best, it is like a pair of glasses that grants one an ability to see through walls, full of clarity and joy. At worst, it can be comparable to scraping ones eyes with used kleenex, somewhat inadvisable. And then you think to yourself, are the peices finally (one by one) falling into place? Or are you on some kind of marshmallow island, watering plants for food?
Two fairly substantial Nautilus-related items have come up recently, both of which I really don't think I'm going to talk about...
Moving on, I don't really think I need to explain
this. I know what you're thinking, "Another one?". And I'm like "Yeah, but if I'm going to do something like this, maybe I should put an 'Explict Lyrics' on this one, some kind of warning". And you're like "Yeah."

Note: OOooo video again.
Message:
I don't know for a fact that what we (as in, the group of friends that I hang out with) do when we hang out is any
more weird than what many people do, but I can say with a high degree of certainty that some of the things we end up doing may seem to have a trivial conclusion. So, though the actions taken in the
new video (!!!) may not (of course) be very traditional, they are completely amazing, like some sort of curved arch.
I do not have any issues with cutting bottles per se, I might even prefer it -
because of its co-operative nature. All I'm asking you to do is imagine, with the great preponderance you have, that just now, you've awaken from an indistinct vision of a new year cycle, and in this vision you'll
click some words and even grumble an outburst of sort; the laughing kind.
Go Mike.

Ok so I kinda re-did the whole
downloads section. It now includes videos! Most of the music should work as well, I'll fix any that doesn't. Please excuse all the ugly ass advertisements, it's the only way I could get enough space for the videos and stuff.
There's also a
NEW VIDEO there for you to enjoy. It probably doesn't make much sense to anyone, but hey, there's new nautilus music, and there's skateboarding. Wooooo, what more could you ask for?!

It's just a little clip from our practice today, and yes, it is a new nautilus song. Incase you're wondering who's head keeps popping up at the bottom, that's mine. I was sitting on the floor under the camera. Also, Cole is playing drums over to the left.
The guy on the right, for those of you who don't know, is Nick. He's been practicing with us for a little over a month now and yes, I guess you could say he's in the band. I'll be putting up his profile shortly.

Okay so yeah there's been no update for like... a long while. But you know what? That's just because there hasn't been too much band crap to tell you. For anyone who still cares, we recorded on saturday.
Overall it was a pretty good experience, we had 8 hours, and we recorded a very well sounding version of "nonsense". I'll be sure to upload it soon. For now though, you guys can take a
look at
this. It's just a little video from the session, I have a LOT more footage, maybe you'll get to see it sometime.
In the meantime I think I better get crackin at getting people interested in the band again...

Subject: An update. Woo.
Note: Out of time.
Message:
Ok so this update is just for anyone who hasn't heard what happened with the studio time. Well, we showed up at 10:00am to record with our time (which had been booked waaay early in advance) and, no one was there. We waited
2 long ass hours, but (surprisingly) no one showed up!
Ok I don't wanna get off on a rant here, but honestly, could these guys have been anymore un-professional? If you're trying to run a business, and your customers show up to do business with you, what the hell does it say when you don't show up to do business with them? Even after leaving a few messages about it, the studio guy didn't bother to call us back and tell us why he wasn't there. Then, when we finally did get in touch with him he said he was "stuck in hamilton and couldn't get to the studio" (he wouldn't say why though).
Ok first, why didn't he TRY to contact us BEFORE making us drive all the way out to the studio? And second, why would you book a band in the first place if you weren't gonna be there to record?
Either way, the recording time is gonna be re-scheduled at a later date.
A message to any bands that may be considering supernova or machinehead studios:
Avoid these people at all costs, they're just in it for the money and will tell you many lies to get you to play for them.

Just stumbled upon
this interesting (and depressing) article about the music industry. Anyone who thinks they wanna get serious in music should probably read it. It was written by Steve Albini, the producer of
Nirvana's In Utero, so the man knows what he's talking about.
Now my damn childhood dreams of becoming a rockstar are shattered.
In a completely un-related matter, I'm gonna go kill myself.
Haha.

Alright so we finally booked some studio time! We're gonna be recording on August 21st @
MachineHead Studios with the hours we've won.
The studio itself has had mixed reviews so I guess we'll just see how it goes. Whether it's good or bad, you can expect to hear some studio stuff from us by the end of the summer.

Hello people. I recently developed some

May 30th Opera House show. You can find them
here, and surprisingly, there's still no good pictures of cole! Damn that drumset. Anyways, if anyone has pictures of cole just let me know and I'll throw em up.
Oh and while I'm here, I'd just like to say that
The Dears rock. I recommend that all you people go and check out
their new album,
"No cities Left". The Dears are living proof that
not all canadian music sucks.
Incase you missed the
link to their

Hey everyone just givin yas an update on last night's show. Well despite the crappy time slot, it went rather well.
Thanks to all you
dedicated Nautilus fans who made it down to the opera house at 5:00! I think we were the first band ever to play that early and actually have people watching; you guys rock. The set was like:
-Oddidity
-Liquid Soul
-Scratching (new song)
-Around the Fur (feat. Jeremy of the voice)
-Nonsense
-Passing Through the Nothing
Props goes out to Jeremy (from The Voice That Split The Sky) for singing our Deftones cover so well... what'd you guys think of him? I've got his band's demo so if you wanna hear it talk to me.
After the show we all took a trip over to
SEED secondary artsy school thingy where there were more bands playing and I have only two words.
JAIME RULES!

Hey people, what's up? Just got a little info regarding our live kathedral recording... Well my old guitar teacher has a studio in his basement and he offered to remaster it for
free! It sounds noticeably better, but mostly only when you listen to it with headphones. All I've had time to upload so far is
Liquid soul, but I will change the old versions of
oddidity and
passing through the nothing to the remastered versions later. So anyways, in the meantime go check out
Liquid soul and let us know what you think of it...
