Tsukasu Myojin was an assassin for the Shogun Diabatsu OSG,
one of the most powerful corporate conglomeration in the world, a Technocratic version of a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. They did everything from oil, lumbering and mining, to housewares and cell phones. The Kunegai was their assassin cell and Myojin was quick to become their best student and killer. He was givin the Oro, a tattoo of might within the clan. An Oro was the symbol of one's spirit as seen by Kieskei, the old mystic shinto priest that lead the clan. Other great assassins of the Kunegai clan included: Urtaro- called the Great bear of Kunegai, was a massive man with incredible strength and power, standing over 7 ft tall and wielding a scythe of destructive power. Tanbe- the Black Lotus, a female geisha of most popular reknown. More beautiful tha any woman and as deadly. She posessed poison deposits in her fingernails and also used trancing potions and powders in tea and drinks. She also has great skills in thrown shurikin. Shokudai - the leading rival for Myojin's favorite post. Shokudai the Demonwalker had uncanny abilities of strength and speed. His weapon of choice was the Daikatana, the zenzen no kami ("there shall be no god"), given to him by his father, a wicked President of western operations for Shogun OSG. He knew his son's love of killing and afforded him the best money could buy. But with all this skill and money he could not best Myojin's precision and ungodly speed. Often within their duels Myojin would get behind the unsuspecting shokudai even when they just had parried! Such Shadowskills were even of legend within the clan for deep in its history did the Kunegai obtain its highest state, and Myojin was fast on his way to become that legend. But... "My wisdom has faltered. Fear was my only thought and it brought me to a horrible deed. I have run my hands though the tapestry of time; I should have known. Our journey was of my doing. Time did not fault me for looking back, but did when I used her to push me beyond the limits of physical abilities. This was a lesson and I failed misserably. There is something else...an aura of dealthly darkness follows my steps. When I stared into the blackness in the spirit realm, I leaped into without thought. This is a foreshadowing to what stalks me. I have no balance. This path I tread is one of an inevitable ending. Maybe in someway Mersy shows us all this. I have been called upon to help and protect this girl, but now all my training leads me to darkness. Im afraid that it doesnt stalk me only but my friends as well."
