Episode 3: Summary: Everyone in Gehenna wants something, but are unable to get it. Perhaps that is true suffering... At the Fire Earth Bridge, the heroes encounter a band of linqua, on the run from their master Sung Chiang, and unable to convince the Temple of Flame to allow them to join. The heroes arrive with both the linqua and archons, convince the monks and priests of the Temple to take the archons and the linqua off their hands. In exchange, the Linqua give them a Mechanus Calculator.
While there, Versa Moonwhisper expresses an interest in the philosophy of the Temple, and is left with their holy tome, the Barbed Book, and a puzzle to solve.  Derk Int Suni discovers another priest of Tempus, who had become mad from some fiendish poison. Defeating the priest, he receives a visitation with a warning. Lastly, Terrick the Black manages to win over a Dustman girl, Cassandra, by saving her father, Arthane Tallsmith, from suicide. The next "day", the heroes agree to take on an impossible quest for the Temple of Flame, to help them find the pieces of their power, the Burning One, a god of Suffering and Torment.
