Of particular interest, was an encounter with a dying silver hound archon, Fillias, who asked the heroes to aid him in freeing his "charges." He confessed that he was a poor teacher, and when he tried to lead his students on the Path of Self-Sacrifice, they fell victim to masochism.

Convinced that inflicting pain and suffering on oneself was the greatest of holiness, Fillias' students fell sway to the philosophies of a kocrachon baatezu, named Malleous.

The hound archon, with his last dying will, formed himself into a weapon to aid the heroes in the confrontation.

They dispatched the baatezu easily, despite the ever growing numbers of lemures that it summoned.

The heroes had slaughtered the fiend, but what lay was a more difficult task of saving the souls of the fallen archons...
