During the Age of the Moon, the Unspoken One's armies wandered the land unti the Great Cataclysm occured, and Teralynn, the City of a Thousand Temples, was destroyed.

The gods decided, through Avatars and proxies, to prevent the demons from retaking Yverra, created the seven runestones to lock the Unspoken One away in Grodurband, and to keep the demons away from the world.

A betrayal flawed the runestones, as two of the gods ran away with two of the stones.
