You were expecting, maybe, flying pigs? It's
only an update page.
12/12/02:
"Now you have to remember to mulitply any number she says by eight,
okay?" Seriously, though, I'm really, REALLY sorry for not providing what I
promised. It's bloody hard trying to keep any real sort of inspiration when it
comes to this sort of thing, and especially lately, where I've found myself
largely disenchanted with fanfiction in general. Please don't send irate
e-mails my way about it, though, since I tend to be pissy and not respond to
particularly rude letters. That said, here's what I said I'd provide several
weeks ago: the MiSTing of Nice Guy, officially the first NEW MiSTing in
well over a year and a half. Happy Holidays.
8/7/02:
First of all, I'd like to welcome any newcomers to the site from either
Fanfiction.net or from those who've heard of me from the WS#9 MiSTing Awards announcments
(Best New MiSTer? Seems a bit odd, considering I've been doing this over two
years now...). I've decided to forget about the aesthetics for now and
concentrate more on getting this damn site back in order. A few minor tweaks
here and there, including Parts 1 and 2 of Anime Northwest Love Boat, a
revamped though not complete Links page, and the establishment (FINALLY) of the
Basement. Something big's gonna appear on the site sometime in the next week or
so, so stay tuned, mmmkay?
5/4/02:
The image you're seeing above you is a real, unaltered screen shot of Web Site
#9 taken by my buddy Darth Kirby about two weeks ago. Yeah, it blows my mind
too. (It's been knocked down by a willing helper to a seven since.) You folks
are WAY too generous. At any rate, The Escape is now in HTML, and the
Review Zone has a commentary which may or may not be totally irrelevant
depending on what happens in the next few weeks. And the Art Gallery is back
up. Yeesh, even I'm losing track of which links are broken.
3/31/02:
Hope y'all had a Happy Easter. When you're finished scarfing down all that chocolate, how about checking out the newly HTML converted version of Baka-Con II?
3/24/02:
Well, the good news is that, since y'all asked so nicely, the brand-spanking new Theater page is all finished! The bad news, however, is that I haven't finished HTMLizing the rest of the fics, so there are still several dead links. I only programmed them in to see how it'd look. However, because we don't have Word's crappy filename changes, there should be LESS dead links than there were before. Also, to those who came because of the new publicity as a result of my nominations at Web Site #9, I'd like to say that I'm not going to gloat over them, because as far as I'm concerned AVALANCHE vs. Sailor Moon was a group effort, and while some awards may be nice, I'd feel a lot better if I knew the noms came from my stand-alone works. That's just me, though.
2/27/02:
Quick update: A new satirical story, My One True Love, is currently available in the library. Also, I'm very slowly getting the Theater page up and running, along with any MiSTs I can HTML at the same time, but it's probably going to be a while, especially since it's the last three weeks of the quarter here at Western. Stay tuned. Another quick note: my 1337 speak sucks. >_<
2/13/2002:
Main Page redesign complete. For now, the "Theater" button will just take you back to the old home page. Eventually, I'll redesign that page as well. Don't bother going to the Basement or the Storage Room, though -- there's nothing there yet at all. Also, Nuku Nuku and the Werecabbit, Tsuki Ni Kawatte... SPOON, Bub!, Anime Cafe Otaku Super Troopers: Blonde Minstrels of Doom and AVALANCHE vs. Sailor Moon have been available for awhile, so take a looksie, will ya? This site will be updated when it's updated, so don't bother me about it, y'hear? Hint hint.
Updates for 1-28-02
- Slowly but steadily I'm getting things back on line. Between schoolwork, fixing the site and working on several pieces of fanfiction, I've been a tad busy -- which means I have NO excuse for my bevy of procrastination. -_-;;
- Anyhoo, I figured I'd better get the meat of the site back up before anything else. So the following MiSTs are accessible:
- Nuku Nuku and the Werecabbit
- Tsuki ni Kawatte… SPOON, Bub!
- Anime Café Otaku Super Troopers: Purple Wrath
- Anime Café Otaku Super Troopers: Blonde Minstrels of Doom
- Blonde Exchange
- AVALANCHE vs. Sailor Moon (group MiST w/ Darth Kirby and R. Jak)
- The reason the others aren't uploaded yet is that I'm converting almost everything to HTML. The ones which were uploaded were ones which have appeared on Fanfiction.net in HTML form, although they need fixing since I've taken up the practice of removing the arrows from the HTML versions. The only fic which will remain in text format is AVALANCHE vs. Sailor Moon, since I'm not the one who edited and I'd feel off altering the work of somebody else. (Note: I haven't fully edited these MiSTs, so there may still be notes which are more relevant to the FF.net reader than others.)
- In the meantime, once I have free time (and I mean REAL free time, not the artificial stuff I make for myself), I might recode the entire main page from scratch. See, it USED to be easy to work with, until I put it through Word. The program mangled it, frankly.
- In the meantime… ooooh, snow! Washington snow days are the BEST. (Well, except for the panic in the streets as drivers suddenly regress to a state prior to driving lessons.)
Updates for 1-24-02
- The following pages are now accessible:
- Meet the Cast!
- Bodger Rambles!
- Updates (yeah, no shit Sherlock.)
-Speaking of "Bodger Rambles," you can check out parts 4 and 5 of Somewhere in Time and Space, A Walk Through Winters chapters 1-5, The Ones We Leave Behind chapters 1-4, Musings, The Muse Who Wasn't, and It's All Good while you're waiting for the site to be fully operational. (Does that cover all the ones that weren't in the previous update? I can't exactly remember anymore…)
-Also, check out Meet the Cast, if only to see my lovely MAT3K sprites. Huzzah. The Chibis and Joel have been added, to boot. (Or was Joel already there? Damn and blast…)
- Not that I'm sure anybody cares, but "Bodger Rambles" is now 100% coded by yours truly. It took a couple of hours, but at least I can read the HTML now. I'm slowly working my way towards independence from page makers, especially Word, since it sucks ass.
- The Update Marathon continues. Stay tuned.
Updates for 1-23-02
- Fuck Homestead to hell. They set a booby trap so that when I actually tried to access my own goddamn site, it restricted access to EVERYBODY until I either reduced my page or paid for their fucking stupid services. Screw them. Welcome to Angelfire, folks.
- At any rate, this is going to be a fixer-upper for the next few days. The following pages are accessible, however:
- Meet Me?!
- Review Zone
- Art Gallery
- The Chibi Room (thanks to Darth Kirby for helping me with the coding)
- Links
- The Review Zone has a review of Freon's fics up, incidentally, so you can read that while I repair everything else on the site.
- The Links page looks odd because it's in the middle of some serious revamping. I was intending on springing it on people later, but Homestead didn't leave me that option, apparently. So it'll improve with time.
- Hell of a way to celebrate my first update in a year, but dem's the breaks.
Updates for 1-30-01
- I am officially an update slacker. I'm not sure what it is.
Maybe I've been awed by the pretty graphics on other sites and have felt
utterly insignificant as a result for not having the energy to dip-pen all my
*cough* lovely creations and color them. Of course, there comes a time
where you just say SCREW IT, I'm updating. And, well, now's the
time. Yay me.
- The general fiction now has its own section, and all stories are
HTMLized. Also, I've finally posted the first three sections of Vampire
Hunter Hibichi, my shameful little romp into scripted fiction. I've
officially broken my own commandment.
- The Bish section, sadly enough, has been updated. I wish I could find
the exact day I stopped being a casual anime fan and became just another
drooling fangirl. Mind you, at least I'm not wallpapering my lockers with
pictures of my favorite RPG and anime guys or putting random hentai-ish pics of
them up on the site. Yet.
- Somewhere in Time and Space parts 1 through 3 are up, as are my TTPCTS
fics.. This is for all those slackers who feel that the MST3K Fanfiction
Site ain't good enough for them, or are somehow disturbed by the idea of an
entire fanfiction page dedicated to MST3K. Of course, in that case, you
wouldn't be reading this story now, would you?
- Links are updated. I've finally taken the ultimate step and removed
Freon's website, and if you want to read his ramblings you can effing well find
the site yourself. I ain't advertising his stuff anymore. There is,
however, ANOTHER site you may want to take a peek at, which is very subtley
advertised on the links page . . .
- New piccy. My God, I'm drawing fanart. This is not a healthy
development.
- (In case anyone can't tell, I've been reading Toastyfrog a lot lately.)
Updates for 12-18-00
- Ever have the sudden revelation that you're a complete and utter
moron? I have. I'd somehow convinced myself that to update, I
needed to delete all the pre-existing pages and reload them. Don't ask me
how, I just did. Turns out I could've saved a hell of a lot of time if
I'd just uploaded and REPLACED IT rather than deleting every file. Feel
free to mock me, folks. Mind you, I'm doing it to myself in spades.
- On a slightly less moronic note, I've begun a long and lengthy process
of html-izing all my files. Currently, Nuku Nuku and Tsuki Ni Kawatte are
HTMLized, as is Girlfriends.
- The Review Zone (or Rant Zone, these days) has a few suggestions for
how it may be possible to write good self-insertion. POSSIBLE, not likely.
To be honest, I don't really see it happening.
- Glimmer part four is up. Also, If It Ain't Broke... is finally
finished! Very dated, but finished. And I finally said, "The
hell with it" and posted the MiSTing of Nightmare in Gold Saucer.
Consider it a site exclusive.
- *cough* Read the announcement. Nuff said.
- If the guestbook doesn't get signed soon, don't bother signing.
I'm not renewing it again. It's not worth it.
- Now that Winter Break is almost upon us, I'm gonna try and update a bit
more frequently. "Try," of course, being the operative word.
- Azure Dreams and Final Fantasy IX are ruining my mind! I think I
like it, though... Must... watch... Castle of Cagliostro again...
- Those with access to fansubs: I order you to watch Love
Hina. You'll never like Tenchi as much again. ^_^
Updates for 10-22-00
- Updates... I got updates... (School sucks,
folks.)
- A new... RANT in the Review Zone. Well
what the heck...
- Part 3 of Glimmer is up!
- A piece of horror fiction, Common
Sense. Just in time for Halloween. (Mwa ha ha ha ha...)
- More Bishes! (Am I the only one who
thinks Billy and Quatre were seperated at birth?)
- I'm going to be on the Anipike?! Gee,
all I wanted was a cute little linking GIF... O_o
- Girlfriends can now be found at Rocket
Town! Yaaay! It should be showing up at Global Gaming News as
well. Visit it.
- New links, new banners. Ho hum.
- Final Fantasy XI coming out November 14...
^___^
Updates for 8-25-00
- *ahem* Girlfriends is now featured
in the RPGamer Fanfiction archive. And it's got a pretty glowing review
too. I know I shouldn't toot my own horn like this, but I'm real chuffed
about this.
- HA! I'll bet you expected me to mention
a new review in the Review Zone, right? Tough luck. Maybe when I'm
in the mood for it again.
- Parts One and Two of Glimmer are up. If
it Ain't Broke should be finished once divine inspiration for host segments
strikes again. No word on Nightmare at Gold Saucer yet.
- Link to Mistings.org added.
- Bish page added! Ah heh heh... GOD I'm sad.
- Picture added. See, this is what happens when
you're really, REALLY bored and you've got a Paint program sitting around...
- For my family's sanity, I'm putting all my
e-mail in my Homestead account now. This means you two, spammers.
(Incidentally, I have two words for you spammers, and the last one is
"you.")
- What the hell are you doing here? Go
play Chrono Cross. It's a lot better than this crap...
Updates for 7-27-00
- Ah, summer. A time for relaxation
and ****ing late web page updates... O_o
- New review for the Review Zone.
(Detecting a pattern?)
- New fic: Girlfriends (or Why Cloud is
Such an Idiot)
- More links! I just dumped all the junk
from my bookmarks in. (Also used a few link buttons as
experimentation...)
- La da de... (buy Legend of Mana.)
Updates for 6-30-00
- Okay, here's the deal, folks. I am
MASSIVELY late for an update. I was GOING to prepare an index page for my
original fiction, but I don't have enough interesting images for them. So
in the meantime, chapter one of Kirin's storyline, Crystal Dreams, will be
posted on the main site. It'll be moved when I've got a page I can be
proud of.
- New review for the Review Zone.
- I'm removing the fic challenge.
Nothing's come of it, so... *shrug*
- School's out! Yet I'm not updating
regularly! Nothing wrong with THIS picture, folks!
Updates for 6-12-00
- New Review for the Review Zone.
- New link on links page. (Become a Sluggite!)
- For no good reason whatsoever, I'm editing the fics
so they're easier to read and fit a certain screen size. Currently this
has been done for three fics: Nuku Nuku and the Werecabbit, Tsuki Ni
Kawatte... SPOON, Bub and Baka-Con II: The Search for Chicks.
- Finals are done, yet they still pile the work
on us... oy... (Totally non-site-related rant. Please ignore.)
Updates for 6-02-00
- New Review for the Review zone.
- Two new drawings added to the art
gallery. Meet Shauna. Tee hee.
Updates for 05-26-00
- New Review for the Review Zone.
- New MiSTing added.
- Another link added to the Links page.
- Due to a complicated set of reasons, I will
no longer be MiSTing the Anime Cafe Otaku Super Troopers set of fics.
Perhaps later, I may, but I no longer feel I have the right nor the inspiration
to do so. I also feel that I may not be able to do them justice.
- The site has reached over 100 visitors!
YAAAAY!
Updates for 5-18-00
- The Review Zone is up. This is a writing
tool for anybody interested. If you do not wish to have your fic MiSTed,
but would like feedback, then send it to me and it'll be covered.
Currently, only MiSTed fics will be discussed.
- More items added to the "to do"
list (damn spammers...)
- Art Gallery added. Just kind of a chronicle
of all the pictures that appear on the site, really. (TRANSLATION:
She's justifying how boring it looks.)
Updates for 5-10-00:
Two new MiSTings added.
Guestbook added. A rather pointless thing,
really, but I figured it'd be worth a shot.
Updates for 5-7-00:
Links page added. So you can escape
now. See? I'm benevolent sometimes.
More projects added to the "Coming Soon"
list... *sigh*
New picture. Fear the Dark side.
Updates for 4-27-00:
Three new MiSTings added.
FANFIC! Crossover Sign added. Join the
TTPCTS club!
Counter added. *g* I expect it'll count
up... ooh, five, six people tops.
