This is older stuff. You can tell because it says 'oldstuff.html' in your address bar. yeah...

The List of Future Modifications:

  • K&N Typhoon Air Intake (on its way via fedex)
  • performance street clutch
  • lightened flywheel
  • header exhaust
  • 140-watt alternator (for sound sys)
  • sport brakes

So far thats all I'm saying to stay realistic. The intake should be on within a week assuming it arrives. Sound system is also on its way to being upgraded, with two 2 12s in new hatchbox, and I'm revamping the 6x9 "enclosures". Brakes will come next, depending on how much needs to be done will determine if I will upgrade to sports brakes.

These are pictures of blind34_1's civic. This is a 1990 Si Hatchback, 1.6. Obviously this is completely unmodified, which I hope to change as soon as I get can get another job. As it stands, allow me to go through and point out the finer points of what a recently graduated from high school guy has done to his car...

  • Okay, first picture. Right off the bat we notice the $15 dollar windshield wipers from Autozone. This was supposed to be step one of the red and black color scheme I was (and still am) attempting to do. You can also see the windshield washer LEDS on the hood as well. Around this town they are not very prevalent, so it adds to the uniqueness of the car. Look closely at the hood. Sure it just looks like the reflection of clouds on it, right? Wrong. This car was originally from Pheonix, and therefore the sun has taken its toll on the already vulnerable import paint job. Sigh...one day, I will get my dream red and black paint job...

This is the hatchview of the rear end. Please excuse the bubble wrap holding the 12" sub in place. I haven't enough money to buy an actual hatch box. Of course I must have the requisite neons mounted somewhere, and so there they are. Why I didnt even attempt to hide the wires? I don't know. I was more worried about how to mount them, I think. I ended up using Erector Set screws.

The real nice thing I would like to draw your attention to is the 6x9 placement. My friend and I were deciding one day what would be the best placement for them. Then we decided to make our own. Thats right, we drilled through the rack and mounted them right there! It looks pretty decent if I do say so myself.

Ah, a lovely picture of my car's arse. Notice the professionally done tint. I must give credit where credit is due...it was done by the previous owner. Again, as soon as I come into some money, that is getting redone. Its just embarrassing.

Also, when I first got my car, I did not have any plans to modify it and actually be proud of it, and so it started to become the "punk rock mobile" - hence the stickers. I just cant seem to bring myself to get rid of them. Once I start doing body and engine work, I'm sure I'll give those stickers a proper burial. (except for the fearfactory sticker - that ones awesome!) Moving on...

Yet another picture of the front end. These pictures are rather dated and so I'll describe the new stuff. First, There are now fog lights mounted on the grill. Since this looks like pure crap, I'll be replacing that grill at some point, and maybe mount the lights behind it, I don't know. Second, I've replaced the clear bulb in the corner lights with red bulbs. Again, I'm trying to keep my dream of red and black alive. That's about it.

Anyone notice anything wrong with this picture? Besides the Mudvayne sticker on the side. That's right this picture is mirrored! No, my car is not JDM with the right side drive. Again, notice the oxidation of the paint on the top. I've recently heard of some chemicals that will remove that, assuming that the paint hasn't been completly eaten away. The $60 rims are rather cool-looking, until you see the black center has been eaten away on a few of them. They kinda look like Impala's, but again, I must give credit where credit is due, the previous owner did the rims. I'll be replacing those as well, with what I'm not sure. I am planning on getting Yokohama's here very soon, so I'll probably get it all done at the same time.

Well, thats my car. I have done a few other little things since these pictures, but I'll update these when the price of the modifications exceeds the dollar amount of a disposable camera.
