1. Line up template on left hood half and cen
ter punch as indicated on template, turn
template over and tine up on right hood half

and center punch as indicated on template.
Drill two half-inch holes in each hood half.
2. Drill one 7116 inch hole in hood top mould
ing, using existing hole in hood panel as
template. Enlarge hole in hood top moulding
only, to half inch.

Clean all dirt and insulating material from
metal surfaces at places where brackets at
tac h.

Install panel front and rear retainers with
lockwasher at existing bolt. (See figure 150.)
Insert cover into fender opening and with top
of cover and front edge of cover in line with
surface of fender, scribe two holes on fender
flange through the two holes on the front of
the cover flange. With the top and rear edge
of the cover in line with the surface of the
