Crossbeam Studios Project X2 Application

Here at Crossbeam Studios we take great pride in our Project X2 and are only willing to work with the best of the best to make the best. We realize it's a long and hard journey, but it's a journey we're willing to travel with as many people qualified as possible. Although, before you submit your application there's a few things you should be aware of:
First off, if you are accepted there's another secret website out there somewhere that only the staff has access to. The thing is, all work that you submit must be kept to the staff site and the staff site only. Meaning, to the rest of the world your work would cease to exist unless it's placed on the Public X2 site. If your work is put on the Public X2 site than you will receive 100% credit for all things that you contribute. Also, with Crossbeam Studios being a newer Independent Game Developer you wont get paid just yet, we'll need to release this project first. Then you would get a certain percent based on how much you contribute. Reason for this policy is, fact of the matter, we aren't getting paid yet either. We're paying out of our own pocket for the Crossbeam Studios .com address, online store and all other software that we need.

In-Depth Department Explanation -

Public Relations:
Have good communicating skills and a lot of time to send of emails? Awesome, this is the job for you. All you have to do is A) Advertise and B) Send out important info and press releases too many big and smaller RPG sites. The way you present yourself must be in a well educated, professional, and sincere manner.

Story Development, Races, Characters, Creatures, Environments and Script Writing:
All of the following play a very crucial role in the overall look and feel of Project X2. When a job of this magnitude is tackled - the right requirements must be laid out. Not only is it required you have AOL or AIM instant messenger, but you must be willing to dedicate at least 5 hours a week and participate in story discussion. You feel you can handle that? Good. But you're still not there. You need a creative mind. A mind where details flow endlessly - a mind where visions become a reality. If you can't think of enough details to draw a character or environment this is NOT the job for you. Script Writing requires some of the most interesting and down to earth dialogue. We're looking for quality play material - not two 7 year olds nit picking back and forth.

Graphic Design/Artist:
This is a bit of a tougher job, but not as much is required of you - although quality is a MUST. We work primarily with 3D GameStudio engines and you would need to be capable of doing the following in the field of Graphic Design: Detailed Character Models, Level Design or Movie Scenes. Are you that Artist on par with the pros? Then we ask of you finalized art that can be used for show or press releases, concept art that we can pass on to our modelers or detailed art of environments. You may also be asked to draw wardrobes, items, weapons, etc occasionally.
That's out of the way. Now you need to know about how much work you should produce and deadlines. Normally we'll ask for at least one piece of work a week or we'll give you a deadline for big projects. Discussion of deadlines takes place with the Artist himself.

Programming:
I personally know little to nothing about programming. We have some from Crossbeam Studios working on other projects but we are looking for some exclusive to Project X2. If you have experience in programming RPGs and Action/RPGs this is the job for you.

Gameplay:
This is a tougher but more fun job we have to offer. Time isn't an issue, although what you get completed is. You would have to be willing to design entire gameplay concepts explaining it IN-DEPTH. When we say in-depth we mean details of how it will work, what it does and the overall effect and significance it has in the game.
