Lion Statue
This statue is one of the most famous and ancient of Iraqi culture. Some believe the lion, astride a man is a depiction of the story of Daniel and the Lions. Others believe the Lion represents the Hittite Nation of the Old Testament. Its age is estimated at 4000 years. |

The Catacombs
A Maze which resides below the main city and the site of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, now extinct. Walls are 8 feet high. It leads to a Catacomb below, believed to be the site of Daniels captivity under Nebuchadnezzar. |
