Abbott has received US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) market clearance for RevitaLens Ocutec, a multi-purpose disinfecting solution for silicone hydrogel and conventional soft contact lenses. Jim Mazzo, senior vice president of Abbott Medical Optics, said the solution, with its rub and rinse regimen, establishes a new standard of disinfecting technology for contact lens wearers.
